"I saw it clearly. Lyla wasn't in the room. The room was empty! Why don't you believe me? Besides, don't you remember that there was one more victim?" I insisted because I was sure of what I saw.
"You're the witness, Lex. Tell them," I added, but Lex was silent and gave no reaction. "Lex... didn't you hear me?"
What was he doing? Why was he silent and not saying anything? He saw one of the victimized members himself and asked me to head to the isolation room while he was trying to find the culprit, but why was he like this?
"Calm down, Little Wolf. We have to figure out the common thread of this incident," he said in a half-whisper. However, I disagreed with his words.
"Why are you acting like this, Lex? You saw the victim yourself, told me to check on Lyla, and now you're acting like you don't know anything. What's your point in doing this?" I snapped, causing Lex to grab my hand and try to calm me down.
