"Ioris, you're awake." I rushed over to Ioris, who finally opened her eyes after two days of unconsciousness. She was lying on the pack's border and losing consciousness after briefly waking up.
I brought her to my mansion to confirm her condition, but apparently, Lex disapproved of that. He was still in the room where Ioris was and glared at me every time I interacted with the girl.
"Who the hell are you? You're Ray, right? What are you doing in my room?" asked Ioris, who seemed to recognize me as someone else. She shifted her body away and got in the way when Lex and I were about to approach. "Go away, you guys! Don't come near me!"
Lex and I exchanged glances. What had she been through to be so antipathetic to us, her mates?
"Puppy, it's me, your uncle, and mate," I said, to which she laughed back loud enough that I guessed she was pretty shaken up by what she'd been through. "We're not going to hurt you."
