"I will be your opponent, Belphegor." Asmodeus levitated in the air with a smug smile.
"You're overconfident, Asmodeus. Even if we're equal, my ability is much more useful in this situation. That little bird can't fight against the snake." Belphegor harrumphed.
"I'm not really sure about that." Asmodeus smirked.
Brunhild stepped forward while pointing her spear at the gorgon. In her eyes, there was a mix of resolve and sadness.
Her resolve directly came from that sadness. It was a distant memory.

"My lord. We're going to—!" Brunhild said while bringing a group of valkyries.
However, she never thought that the scene that greeted her that day would haunt her for the rest of her life.
What she and the rest of the valkyries saw was the monstrous wolf Fenrir licking the blood around his mouth. There was a trace of blood everywhere, including an arm that Fenrir had just spit out.
