"Sir Layfon!"
"!!!" Layfon was startled, realizing that Nathan and Selena were already beside him. In fact, he didn't expect Sylvia to be with them as well. "What are you doing here?"
"How about letting us help here?" Nathan asked. "I don't mean to eavesdrop, but after hearing your thoughts earlier, how about letting us help you as well? Although we might not be as strong as you, we're still quite capable."
Layfon furrowed his eyebrows. "No. You are envoys. If you two somehow lose your lives in the battle, I will be the one in trouble."
"Is that so? Even if it means I'm going to help you heal all those three thousand soldiers?" Nathan asked with a smile.
"What did you say?" Layfon wasn't the only one expressing the shock. Even Sylvia couldn't help but react.
Nathan nodded. "My familiar should be able to help them. Besides, we can't just be the one enjoying life inside the fort while the others are busy protecting it."
