Immortal Elyon perched atop a rooftop near the seashore, his form sharp and still against the sky. His piercing gaze scanned the bustling streets below. He had pieced together Arnin's destination while delving into Nameless's past, and now he was here, waiting.
Like a bird of prey, his eyes locked onto Arnin, who moved casually through the crowds. Elyon's expression remained stern, his resolve unshaken. Without hesitation, he vanished from the rooftop in a blur, only to reappear directly in Arnin's path.
Startled, Arnin took a step back before quickly regaining his composure. Recognition flashed across his face, followed by a wide, easy smile. "Huh, Mr. Immortal," he greeted, his voice light and almost amused.
Immortal Elyon's jaw tightened in disgust and he said in his mind" That smile—it only fueled his suspicions further. He's pretending, Elyon thought. He thinks I'm a fool. But if he sees me as one, then he is a fool, so be it… let's play along, then."
