MATCHING FOOTSTEPS echoed through the hallway as the doors to the living room flew open.
"Father, did you see today's newspaper?" Nigel asked. Alviva cringed at his voice. He had disturbed her reading.
Not like she could openly read in front of her father. He would lose his mind if she did. But it wasn't like she had any other choice to pick from.
Her father had suddenly called her for no reason, just to sit in front of him. So she snuck a spiritum book and hid it in the 'How to be a noble woman, and mother, Book 3'
She had read book1 and book 2, but she wasn't planning on reading the book three, as she knew for a fact that it would more likely be the same thing the previous ones were saying.
