The night was deep.
Streetlights on both sides of the road lit up, casting a dim yellow light on the sparsely populated road.
Letixia held Ahtal's hand as they walked towards the Lakefront Mansion. Her light footsteps reflected her current mood.
However, just as she was immersed in this moment of happiness, a strange figure entered their line of sight – a man with long white hair, wearing a robe, engrossed in a conversation with an unseen being.
His state was very similar to Letixia's at that moment.
But if there had to be a point of difference, it was that Letixia's conversation with Ahtal did not give the impression of being abrupt. Onlookers would feel as though Letixia was talking to someone, though they couldn't be sure what that person looked like.
This was the result of Ahtal strengthening his own presence.
