Fiona took on Eunice's role, and the movie shoot continued. Eunice stayed away, and in less than a week, they were done.
"It's a wrap!" the director announced, and everyone applauded.
Walking toward Vanessa, the director smiled. "It was wonderful working with you, Miss Owen. You truly live up to your reputation. I hope to work with you again."
He shook Vanessa's hand as she smiled and nodded.
"Alright, everyone! Tonight, we celebrate. Dinner's on me!" the director shouted, earning cheers from the crew.
As Fiona approached Vanessa, she could sense her gloominess. It had been this way since they started shooting.
Vanessa checked her phone and turned it back off, only to turn around and see Fiona standing there. "Whoa! You startled me!"
"Are you checking to see if Rowen called or texted?" Fiona asked bluntly.
Vanessa brushed her off. "I'm not. Why would you think that? Besides, if he hasn't reached out, he's probably just busy."
