Placing Tara on the bed, Rowen patted her slightly , "don't cry, you know I don't like it when you cry."
Rowen said as he removed the little tears that had formed on his daughter's eyes.
Sobbing, Tara said, "but papa you lied to me."
"Lie? When did I lie?"
"y-you said that whatever we wish on our birthday will come to pass but it clearly didn't." she continued crying.
"Okay, now tell me what you wished for?"
Hesitating slightly, Tara finally revealed, "I wished that mama and papa will come back together again and that we become a very happy family b-but papa threw mama away and Uncle Erin and mama want to get married. I don't want uncle Erin to be my stepfather and also don't want Aunt Rachel to be my stepmother, they are both wicked and mean."
Hearing all she had said, Rowen sighed slightly. He didn't want it either, but Vanessa had left him no other choice.
"don't worry baby, everything will be alright." He said as he pulled her in for a soft hug.
