The four never expected such an answer, to be honest. They were very surprised, a bit shocked, but when they saw the seriousness and sincerity on that face, they suddenly loosened up and broke into smiles.
"Wow!"
"I wasn't expecting that."
"How was it like to raise them?"
There was a burst of exclaims of surprise at first from the ladies, and before Briar knew it, she was busy being bombarded with questions.
She could tell that they didn't mean any harm but were full of curiosity.
"I have always loved children. Children are gifts from the deities. Having three to take care of, I felt like the most blessed person ever born!" Briar's eyes lit up as she talked about the children.
Bertha had a smile on her face as she listened to that.
Briar was crazy at times, but her love and sincerity for those kids and Logan were real. For them, Briar could do anything.
