The lips of Amphitrite curved into smiles when she saw Dionysus seated cosily with a familiar figure next by—Artemis, the twin sister of Apollo. The warm fellowship between the two deities was a delightful scene, one that filled her with a sense of ease, at least she's not seeing them fight with each other.
Amphitrite had become used to the continual conflict among the gods; her life was a monotonous background against their small arguments and violent rivalries. Since she was married to Poseidon, she had seen her fair share of heavenly fights. Her husband was usually in the middle of the chaos, eager to stir up trouble.
That's why Amphitrite felt good when she saw Dionysus sitting joyfully next to Artemis. The two gods were talking to each other without getting angry, which made Amphitrite feel better. It was nice to see something nice after all the usual stress in the upper world.
