Medusa softly grabbed one of Aleysia's hands, her hold comforting. She had a strong walking stick in her other hand, which she used to negotiate the uncharted ground and observe her surroundings. She had already directed her reliable helper, Timothy, to make sure the castle was ready for someone with Aleysia's needs.
Aleysia had made it really plain that she hated being treated as though her blindness made her delicate or incapable. The idea of being coddled or viewed as a delicate flower was one of her dislikes, and Medusa chose to respect Aleysia's independence and capabilities.
