The morning sun bathed Cocoyasi Village in gold, the air thick with the scent of salt and citrus. Weiss stood at the docks, the villagers' laughter and the clink of glasses drifting from the plaza where a feast sprawled in his honor. Nami leaned against a weathered post, her arms crossed, eyes fixed on the horizon.

"You'd think they'd be tired of parties," she muttered, nodding toward Nojiko dancing with Genzo.

Weiss chuckled. "After eight years under Arlong? They'll celebrate for a decade."

Nami's smile faded. "And you? How long until you're back?"

He hesitated. The Temporal Dilation skill hummed in his mind, its 20:1 time ratio a double-edged sword. "A week here… a few hours there. Maybe less."

"So I'll just… wait?" Her voice cracked, barely audible over the waves.

Weiss turned to her. "Nami—"

"Don't." She pressed a map into his hands—a detailed chart of the East Blue, inked with routes only she knew. "For when you get lost. Which you will."

The map was warm, her fingerprints lingering on the edges. System Notification flickered:

"I'll keep it safe," Weiss said.

"You better."

The Feast's Shadow

As night fell, fireworks lit the sky, their reflections dancing on the sea. Weiss slipped away to Bell-mère's grave, a single orange in hand. The tombstone was clean now, freed from Arlong's scorn.

"He's gone," Weiss said, placing the fruit beside wilting flowers. "Nami's free."

The wind rustled the tangerine trees, carrying the ghost of a woman's laugh. When Weiss turned, Nami stood there, her eyes glistening.

"You're terrible at goodbyes," she said.

"And you're terrible at staying put."

She stepped closer, the fireworks painting her face in fleeting colors. "If you die over there, I'll drag you back from the afterlife. Got it?"

Weiss smirked. "Wouldn't expect less."

Their hands brushed—a promise without words.

Return to Fairy Tail

The portal swirled open, Magnolia's cobblestone streets replacing sand. Weiss stumbled as the Temporal Dilation settled, his body protesting the sudden shift.

"Welcome back, dragon boy!" Natsu tackled him, reeking of smoke and grilled fish. "Lucy's been pacing holes in the floor!"

The guild hall was alive with chatter, though cracks still marred the walls. Lucy sat at the bar, her nose buried in a celestial tome. She glanced up, relief flashing before she masked it with a glare.

"Took you long enough."

"Missed me, blondie?"

"Hardly." She snapped the book shut. "You owe me training. Now."

Lucy Heartfilia: +10 (85/100 – "Determined Partner")

The Weight of Worlds

Training began at dawn. Lucy's keys clashed against Weiss's dragon claws in a meadow outside Magnolia.

"Open, Gate of the Lion—Loke!"

Loke materialized, sunglasses glinting. "Ready to lose, dragon guy?"

Weiss sidestepped a light beam. "Ready to cry, zodiac?"

Their spar shook the field, magic flaring in bursts of gold and crimson. Lucy watched, scribbling notes, her brow furrowed.

"Your magic—it's not just dragons," she said afterward, tossing him a water flask. "It's… time. Like you're bending it."

Weiss stiffened. The system's warnings flashed—Overuse Risks Temporal Collapse. "Perks of being an anomaly."

Lucy's gaze sharpened. "Teach me."

Mirajane's Warning

That evening, Mirajane cornered Weiss in the guild's cellar, her demonic aura subdued but piercing. "You're thinning yourself. Two worlds, two magics—it's tearing you apart."

"Got a better idea?"

She pressed a vial of shimmering liquid into his hand—Elixir of Soulbound, stolen from Grimoire Heart's ruins. "Lisanna brewed it. Don't die before tasting her cooking."

The elixir burned going down, but the ache in his bones eased. System Alert:

Nami's Voice Through the Portal

At midnight, Weiss activated a tiny portal to Cocoyasi. Nami's face flickered into view, her hair tousled by sea winds.

"Can't sleep?" she teased, though dark circles shadowed her eyes.

"Wanted to see if you'd gotten kidnapped yet."

She held up a bounty poster—Arlong's former officers, now marked by the Marines. "They're regrouping. But I've got this."

The clima-tact sparked in her hand, upgraded with dials Weiss didn't recognize.

"Stole them from Skypeia refugees," she said proudly.

"You're terrifying."

"You're welcome."

Cliffhanger: The Black Dragon's Return

As dawn broke, a tremor shook Magnolia. Weiss bolted upright, the system blaring:

Alert: Acnologia Detected (Location: Mount Hakobe)

Additional Threat: Zeref's Sigil (Energy signature overlapping)

Lucy burst into his room, keys in hand. "Weiss—!"

"I know." He grabbed his coat, the elixir's warmth fading. "Round up the guild. This ends today."

But as they raced outside, the sky裂けた—ripped open by a clawed hand. Not Acnologia's.

Dragon-sized. Emerald scales. A roar that froze time itself.

System Identification Failed.

"New Dragon Species Logged," the system droned. "Proceed with Caution."
