Shain was sitting in a large park staring at a water feature. The feature consisted of two nine feet tall statues of Rachel and Ambruce with small figures standing on their shoulders, at their feet, and on their waists. All of the smal figures held bowls of quartz filled with water. The water from the small figures on Rachel and Ambruce's shoulders poured into large quartz bowls held by Rachel and Ambruce. These large bowls had small holes that allowed water to pour down to the bowls held by the small figures and onto the top of a sphere sitting in a large blue depression that held water and smooth sapphire, gold, and onyx stones.
Shain gazed at this tribute to his sister and Ambruce, his mind blank and distant, waiting for Marce.
Marce had been stalling. The Sima Alchemist were ready to go to Uta and had asked Shain to speak to Marce about leaving. Shain had been impressed by the Sima loyalty and eagerness to please their Great Ones.
