"Why trouble Miss Nina?" Lilith said to the staff with a calm, almost amused smile. "Let's talk in the lounge." Her voice was cool and controlled as always, but there was something in her gaze that made Nina pause. It wasn't cold, yet it made Nina feel like Lilith could read her every thought. Nina gave her a small smile and nodded in agreement, her curiosity piqued.
The two women made their way to the lounge, a quiet but elegant space furnished with soft chairs and low lighting. Lilith took a seat gracefully, her posture perfect, and Nina followed suit, sitting across from her.
Lilith's eyes locked onto Nina's. "Miss Nina," she started, her voice smooth, "I trust you're aware that you'll need to be Mr. Carter's female companion for the upcoming business meeting."
As Lilith finished speaking, the staff entered and placed a tray with water and snacks on the coffee table. "Please, have some snacks, Miss Nina," Lilith said, her smile never faltering as she gestured toward the tray.
