She took a deep, shuddering breath, tightening her hold on Sir Sparkleton.
"Miss Lilith! Status report—Status report!" Sir Sparkleton whirred, his system glitching slightly from the water.
Lilith let out a weak laugh, coughing slightly.
"We're alive, aren't we?"
Sir Sparkleton blinked.
Then, as if realizing the weight of what just happened, he beeped softly.
"Miss Lilith… you saved me."
Lilith sighed, floating on her back, staring at the stars above.
