Chapter 224 - Final Preperations For The Trial

POV Rio

I was sitting in my office, going over the plan for what was prepared for my absence. I had been doing some research as well as buying the needed info or items. The biggest thing I learned was the effects of Avarice and Generosity. When used in a trial, it will lose some of its abilities. For instance, instead of an unlimited range to collect experience instead it will be reduced to a 500-meter radius.

'Which is fine under normal circumstances. But the trade is just not worth it in this case. I would be losing out on an entire month of experience while I am in the trial. When the radius is only a mere 500 meters. Even if we are in the trial for 3 years, I would find it hard to break even in terms of experience, let alone surpass it.'

Thus, I decided to leave quite a few Wood Clones behind. I even transformed a clone into a being that had eyes all over them. Then they would be surrounded by divination magic items and the Grand Palantir. It should mean they gain the maximum amount of experience from different sources. Besides setting up that I also made sure that the government could function even with my absence.

'The Wood Clones and the clones staying here should be able to handle things.'

There were only a few summons that chose to stay. Most agreed to come not just for the novelty of exploring the Star Wars Galaxy but also for the opportunity to fight with such restrictions. Team RWBY was especially interested in trying to fly starfighters. Ruby made what I would call an ambomination of a starfighter that she says is her magnum opus.

'That piece of junk would be illegal to fly in most sectors. I wouldn't even take the chance of flying in that thing. At least she didn't use up the time of the shipyards.'

She built it using spare parts and her own 'genius'. The Summons that stayed here were those that weren't built for non-magical environments. The Dragons. Or those that were needed in the Imperium. The Ministers. Or those that were not fighters to begin with. The Namekians. As well as some of the scientists, as they didn't want to become a liability.

'Speaking of tech, let's see if Faraday and the Science Division have completed the project I gave them.'

I teleport to where Faraday is and see him sitting at his workstation.

Faraday: "Ah Rio, I was just about to contact you. We have great news."

Rio: "You made it?"

Faraday: "Yes, it was a very interesting project. We are at least 96% certain it will function as you need it, but we can't be certain because the trial might function in a way that would prevent the nanomachines from working as intended."

Rio: "Will the backup feature work?"

Faraday: "Yes, without a doubt. They will gather and place the raw materials in a designated delivery point."

We walked to a tank that contained a silver metal liquid.

Faraday: "These Nanomachines were a bit difficult to create, but with the data of Nanomachines from Snake and Armstong as well as the T-1000, we were able to combine it all to function as you needed. It should rapidly reproduce and start breaking down materials, and then, using teleportation, the material should enter your inventory. Your Clones confirmed that it was working, so it should work even in the trial."

Rio: "How long would it take for it to break down a planet-wide junkyard like on Raxus Prime?"

Faraday: "From our calculations, 1 to 2 months. That is assuming that they function at 75% efficiency or higher. And that doesn't account for everything. Numerous factors could change the speed."

Rio: "What about Coruscant?"

His face scrunches up in disgust, which I can understand, as Coruscant is basically the antithesis to Galvan culture.

Faraday: "Based on the info you gave me, it is really hard to say. Little is known about the lower levels that have been abandoned. It could be a month, a year, or maybe even a decade. We can't be certain."

Rio: "Fair enough. Now how well can they determine what is junk and what is valuable?"

Faraday: "They have a 99% accuracy rating when we ran them through 2.7 Million simulations. I am most confident about their programming. It takes the AI from the T-1000, Battle Droids, Robots, Omnidroids, and several others to make the best scrapping algorithm I have ever seen. If there is one thing these nanomachines will be able to do, it is sort the junk from the treasures."

Rio: "Thanks again. Now, what did you name it?"

Faraday: "The Scourge. It sounds menacing but is mostly harmless."

Rio: "Did you decide that?"

He looks away and quietly says no.

Faraday: "You can thank Tails for that. He said it was, and I quote, 'Awesome and mathematical sounding' end quote."

Rio: "Yeah, that sounds right. I will come to collect this later. For now, I have a meeting to go to."

I leave and arrive at the strategy conference that was made so we could get the strategy briefed to everyone who needed to know.

Rex: "Glad you came. I was about to send Echo to fetch you."

Rio: "Yes, now let's get started. First things first, has everyone reviewed the file I sent you?"

Everyone nods.

Yularen: "I must ask, how did you get such info? It outlined everyone who will be at the Grand Strategy Conference and what ships will be there. Even who will be on the space station while the others are on the ships."

Rio: "I bought it from the system. I have been told it is 100% accurate. As long as I am the only one who gets involved in the Battle of Yavin 4, nothing will change."

Trench: "Not that we would want to waste our ships at Yavin anyway. You will be more than enough to assist the rebels in destroying the Death Star."

Rio: "Yes, but do any of you believe our strategy should change?"

Dao: "I do have a question. Do we really need to capture 2 Super Star Destoyers at the conference. There will be 11 of them present and that will be enough of a problem. We might lose a lot if we focus on capturing them."

Thrawn: "I can understand your hesitation, but our ships will not reveal themselves until after the Imperial-2 Star Destroyers have been destoyed. Combined with our attack with our starfighters, we will draw the enemy's attention away from where we will strike."

Yularen: "And you are certain that this virus will truly allow us to control the Imperial 2s?"

Rio: "Positive. I have made it myself. I even used Mind Overload to make it so you can be certain that it will complete its task without fail. If our calculations are correct, by the time they are all destroyed, the Imperial ships will be reduced to only the Super Star Destroyers and the few minor ships we capture. And likely many starfighters."

Thrawn: "Of the 11 Super Star Destroyers, we aim to capture 2. Of those we will not capture, our plans to destroy them are as follows: 2 will be destroyed by the modified Kamikaze Vulture Droids loaded with over a hundred tons of explosives, 2 more will be destroyed by our BTLBs doing a close-quarters micro jump and dumping their payload before retreating, 1 will be destroyed using the captured ships crashing into them, 1 will be destoyed by our remaining bombers, specifically the Extinction-Class and Hyena bombers, the reamaining 2 will be destoyed by or fleets attacking them from behind. We will use the large Ion Cannon on the Subjugator to disable them."

Rio: "By the time we have dealt with the last SSD (Super Star Destroyer), the enemy fighters should have been eliminated. Or at least reduced to a number that we can easily clean up. Whatever starfighters survive on our side will be used in future engagements. If we don't have any left, then we will produce some Vulture Droids and Trifighters on a captured shipyard. Once we obtain one."

Dao: "But based on the intel you purchased, the enemy will have nearly 200k starfighters. I know our starfighters are superior, but even if we use all our starfighters, we would only have around 6750. We would be outnumbered 30 to 1."

Trench: "But you must remember our ships are shielded while they only have 48 shielded starfigters. We also outspeed and outmaneuver them. And the biggest factor we will have battle meditation on our side. The battle of Gaia proved how invaluable that can be. Rio will be in that swarm, and I have no doubt he is worth 10k Tie Fighters or more."

Thrawn: "Indeed, and our pilots have been well trained. Imperial Pilots are impressive, yes, but with inferior technology, they will be almost helpless against our forces. I know how Imperials think, and with Battle Meditation decreasing their abilities, we should have no issue dealing with the enemy."

Yularen: "Has someone been chosen to perform the Battle Meditation?"

Rio: "Mace Windu and Kreia have agreed to do it."

Yularen: "I can understand, Master Windu, but I thought Kreia was against using the Force."

Rio: "She is. But she has agreed to help us in this situation in exchange for bringing her to the trial. She has unfinished business, and she will take a shuttle from us to complete said business. She will only help in the battle at the Grand Strategy Conference."

Yularen: "Will any Je'daii fight in starfighters?"

Rio: "No, they will focus on leading boarding parties and other ground-based operations with the Spartans."

Trench: "Speaking of those operations, what will be our plan for those?"

Rio: "We will start by capturing old bases that were abandoned. Then we will deliver the Scourge to several planets with scrapyards or trash. Then we will strike Byss. Then, once Palatine realizes it, we will wait for him to go investigate Byss to strike Coruscant and the other secret facilities of Palpatine. I will be impersonating Valkorion to make Palpatine worry about a returning Eternal Emperor. I will also talk with Valkorion and see about gaining any help from him. While all of this is happening, we will be focusing on gathering any ships we can, including the Katana Fleet. Our goal is to gather around 200-400 ships for the battle of Endor. The Katana Fleet will be retrofitted but not used. We will upgrade them to the Star Wars Galactic standard."

Dao: "I assume we will be retrofitting all the ships we capture or find."

Rio: "Yes, and we will slowly but surely purify the Outer Rim and then the Mid Rim. Our goal is to scare Palpatine into withdrawing into the Core Regions. We want a decisive battle at Endor. While he withdraws the forces from the Outer and Mid Rim, we will ambush the retreating fleets. I have a few things I need to do, so many of these operations will be done without me. Several key locations will need to be dealt with. Wayland, Byss, Kamino, Kuat, Rendili, Hoth, Raxus, Coruscant, Hutt Space, The Maw, Rakata Prime, Ossus, Korriban, Kesh, Xuaquarres, Garn, Malachor, Sa Nalor, Tython, Belsavis, Ryloth, and Kessel. There are others, but those are the main ones."

Yularen: "Belsavis? What could you possibly need there? There is nothing left on that planet. Even the Empire never stationed troops there."

Rio: "The World Razer still lives. I will destroy him. That and the technology we can gain from The Tomb and other prisons would be interesting."

I can sense that none of them know who I am talking about.

Rio: "The World Razer is an entity that devoured 1000s of planets before the Rakata managed to defeat it. It is the entire reason Belsavis was made into a prison. Think of it as a weaker Galactus."

I sense a massive wave of fear when I tell them who the World Razer is.

Yularen: "Y-you mean that such an entity existed on Belsavis for over 25000 years, and it is still not dead?"

Rio: "Yes, it was almost released during an invasion by Vitiate's Sith Empire. But luckily, it was stopped at the last second. But as far as I know, it was never killed, and while it has undoubtedly become weaker with such a long imprisonment, it still lives. Beyond that being I will deal with Abeloth again."

We discuss a few more things before we end the meeting and make the last preperations to start the trial.

Authors Note:

I did quite a bit of research on Star Wars Legends and Cannon, so if you can think of anything I missed, let me know. I have no idea how long this Star Wars trial will last, but I think at least 4 or 5 chapters. Until next time Ciao.
