With a snap of my fingers, the 'flame' returned to my hand, and Tank shrunk down to a more normal size. Crushing the flame until it was completely extinguished, I shrugged my shoulders.
"He obeys your commands?" demanded the Captain, a thoughtful look on his face as he stared at Tank.
"He is the bestest best boy in the world," I assured him, petting Tank's head.
"Let them in. We'll deal with them inside," stated the Captain. "Just write down fire power, level three."
"And the name, Sir?" All the men turned to look at me as if waiting for a response.
"Lucy," I smiled, looking over at Eric. "Lucy Knight." Hey, if the man wanted to pretend to be my husband, then the least he could do was lend me his last name,
"Take them to the first checkpoint," said the Captain as he quickly dismissed Eric and myself. "I'm only going to give you a free pass to this point. What happens next is out of my hands."
Raising an eyebrow, I didn't bother to respond.
