Nova grinned, satisfied with the agreement. "Alright then, now that we've settled that—let's get to work."
He raised his Omnitrix, tapping the dial. The device emitted a faint hum as the interface lit up, preparing to scan. But before he could activate it, Hermione held up a hand.
"Wait," she said, narrowing her eyes. "How exactly does this scan work? You're not going to, I don't know, rip something out of us, are you?"
Nova rolled his eyes. "Relax, Granger. It's a non-invasive scan. It just analyzes your genetic structure and energy signature. No pain, no needles, and definitely no 'ripping' anything out."
She still looked skeptical but nodded. "Alright, fine. Just—make sure you explain everything afterward."
"Of course." Nova smirked. "Wouldn't want to keep any secrets from you two, now would I?"
Nova leaned back, smirking as he opened up his system interface. "Alright, let's make this more efficient." His fingers flickered across the holographic controls as he adjusted the parameters. The Omnitrix pulsed on his wrist, syncing with his system, and a cascade of notifications appeared before him.
[System Notice: Omnitrix Scan Protocols Detected]
[Would you like to integrate Omnitrix scanning with the system interface?]
[Y/N]
Nova smirked, selecting Yes without hesitation. The system whirred as it merged with the Omnitrix's scanning function, allowing a remote scan without physical presence.
[Integration Successful]
[New Feature Unlocked: Remote Genetic Analysis]
[System-Connected Devices Can Now Perform Scans via Linked Interface]
On Harry's side, in the ancestral Black home, the holographic screen of the system mobile flickered, and a new prompt appeared in front of him and Hermione.
[System Notification: Omnitrix Scan Initialized]
[Scanning Will Begin Shortly]
[Subjects: Harry Potter, Hermione Granger]
[Note: No Physical Contact Required—Scan Will Be Performed Through System Mobile Link]
Harry raised an eyebrow, glancing at Hermione. "Well… that's new."
Hermione pursed her lips, her analytical mind already at work. "He's modified the system mobile to act as an extension of his Omnitrix. That means… the scan will use the device as a medium instead of direct contact."
Nova's voice crackled through the hologram. "Ding ding ding! Ten points to Gryffindor." He tapped a few more commands, and the Omnitrix glowed, sending data pulses directly into the system network.
[Omnitrix Notification: Remote Scan Active]
[Processing Genetic and Energy Signatures…]
[Analyzing Biological Composition…]
On their end, the system mobile emitted a faint green light, casting a soft glow over Harry and Hermione. It swept over them in thin waves, barely noticeable, but Hermione still tensed slightly.
"Feels… weird," Harry muttered, rubbing his arm instinctively.
Hermione was already analyzing. "It's mapping out our DNA… but not just our DNA. I can feel something else."
Nova's eyes gleamed as he monitored the readings. "That 'something else' is what makes you magical. And let me tell you—this is fascinating."
The system mobile chimed again.
[Scan Complete]
[Data Successfully Transferred to Omnitrix and System Database]
Hermione immediately straightened. "Well? What did you find?"
Nova leaned forward, his grin widening. "Oh, you're gonna love this."

Omnitrix Genetic & Energy Analysis Report
Subjects: Harry Potter, Hermione Granger
Scan Conducted By: Nova Ashbourne
---
I. GENERAL OVERVIEW
Biological Classification: Homo sapiens (Magus Variant)
Genetic Deviations from Baseline Human: 7.42% (Hermione Granger), 9.85% (Harry Potter)
Energy Signature Detected: Thaumic Energy Field (Commonly referred to as 'Magic')
Primary Source of Magical Ability: Genetic & Metaphysical Integration
---
II. MAGICAL GENETIC TRAITS
1. Core Genetic Adaptations:
Presence of an additional gene cluster labeled 'Thaumic Conduit Gene' (TCG-7)
This gene acts as a bridge between physical biology and external magical energy fields.
Unlike metahuman mutations (which originate from genetic instability), this is a stable hereditary trait.
In Harry Potter, this genetic sequence is stronger due to magical ancestry.
2. Magical Energy Flow & Manifestation:
The energy field is not internal but rather exists in an external dimension, which wizards access.
The gene sequence allows the body to act as a receiver and manipulator of magic.
Magic does not function like innate biological abilities but instead like a metaphysical network.
3. Differences Between Harry & Hermione:
Harry Potter: Higher magical affinity due to lineage. More natural magical flow.
Hermione Granger: Slightly lower baseline affinity, but significantly better energy control and refinement.
Suggests that magical potency and magical skill operate on different spectrums.
---
III. ENERGY FIELD ANALYSIS
1. Connection to an External Magical Layer
Unlike mutant abilities (which generate internal power), magic operates through a linked metaphysical field.
This field is accessible only through the unique Thaumic Gene Sequence.
Potential Workaround: If a non-magical person can develop a similar 'link' to this field, they may be able to use magic.
2. Energy Absorption & Conversion Rate
Magical energy is absorbed and stored within the body's natural circuits.
The efficiency of absorption varies depending on heritage, training, and exposure.
Prolonged exposure to high-magic environments increases absorption efficiency.
3. Spellcasting Mechanism
The wand acts as a focus and amplifier, reducing the energy required to shape spells.
Advanced wizards develop 'wandless' methods by increasing their natural energy shaping control.
Magic is semi-sentient—spells retain intent, memory, and adaptation potential.
---
IV. POTENTIAL INTEGRATION POSSIBILITIES
1. Can Nova Gain Magic?
Current Status: No Thaumic Gene detected in Nova's DNA.
Possible Solutions:
Direct genetic modification (Risky, may cause instability).
Creation of an artificial energy conduit to tap into the magical layer.
Symbiotic integration of an energy-adaptive organism that mimics magic flow.
Using the Omnitrix to transform into a magic-capable species and study their biology.
2. Can Harry & Hermione Gain Alien Enhancements?
Yes, but with limitations.
The Omnitrix can introduce stable alien DNA segments without overwriting core human traits.
However, their magical abilities may interact unpredictably with certain alien traits.
Recommended Approach: Select an alien species that enhances their strengths rather than conflicts with magic.
---
Conclusion & Next Steps
Nova now possesses the fundamental structure of magical genetics.
Theoretical pathways to magic acquisition exist but require further testing.
Harry & Hermione may select one alien trait for enhancement.
Further research required to ensure stability of any modifications.
-----
As the system mobile displayed the results, Hermione's eyes immediately locked onto the detailed report, absorbing every line with intense focus. Harry, on the other hand, squinted at the dense technical breakdown, trying to make sense of all the complex terminology.
Nova, noticing Harry's expression, smirked. "You have no idea what you're reading, do you?"
Harry straightened up and scoffed. "Of course, I do! It's… uh… very detailed. You know, genes, magic, external fields… very science-y." He waved a hand vaguely at the holographic text.
Nova snickered. "Right. And what exactly is a Thaumic Conduit Gene?"
Harry opened his mouth, hesitated, then quickly looked at Hermione for help. She didn't even glance up from the report, flipping through the sections with rapid efficiency.
"Magic is externally sourced, but the Thaumic Conduit Gene acts as a biological link between wizards and the energy field," she answered absentmindedly, still reading.
Harry shot Nova a look. "She's a walking library, alright? I don't need to memorize everything when I've got her around."
Nova laughed. "Fair enough. But you might want to pay attention to the last section—it affects you directly."
Harry's eyes darted back to the report, skipping all the deep explanations and going straight to the part that mattered to him:
"Can Harry & Hermione Gain Alien Enhancements?"
Now that caught his attention. He focused, trying to process the important bits.
"So… we can do this? You can actually give us alien abilities?" he asked, his voice laced with excitement.
Nova leaned back. "Yep. The Omnitrix can introduce alien DNA into your genetic structure, but there are conditions." He tapped a section of the report. "First, you can only take one alien enhancement each. Any more than that, and your magic might start clashing with the foreign DNA, causing instability."
Hermione, who had now finished reading, crossed her arms. "And what kind of 'instability' are we talking about?"
Nova shrugged. "Could be minor—like your magic needing time to adjust—or major, like sudden magical overload, unpredictable mutations, or…" He made a small explosion gesture with his hands.
Harry paled. "Wait—explosion as in… boom?"
Nova grinned. "Who knows? You might just sprout a few extra limbs instead."
Harry gulped. "That's not funny."
Hermione rolled her eyes. " Well this bad."
Nova smirked," Don't worry, we will do everything carefully, you won't have any problems after integrating alien DNA. Trust me, the system contract and the Omnitrix."
Hermione nodded, her analytical mind already at work. "Magic relies on intent, willpower, and control, so we should prioritize enhancements that refine those aspects rather than overpower them. Increased reflexes, cognitive speed, sensory enhancements—things that would let us wield magic more effectively."
Harry smirked. "And maybe some durability too, so I don't keep getting knocked around like a human punching bag."
Nova chuckled. "Got it. Let's break it down step by step. We'll categorize enhancements into physical upgrades, mental enhancements, magical compatibility, and potential combat advantages. Then, we'll tailor the best mix for each of you."
Hermione crossed her arms, her excitement barely contained. "Then let's begin."
Suddenly the system beeped.
[DING! THERE ARE MILLIONS OF ALIEN DNA'S IN THE OMNITRIX, IT WOULD TAKE 12 HOURS FOR THE SYSTEM TO GO THROUGH THEM AND ANOTHER 10 HOURS FOR SELECTING THE DNA'S WHICH WOULD NOT CAUSE CHOAS WITH THAUMIC CONDUIT GENE.
DO YOU WISH TO PROCEED
→ YES
→ NO]
Harry groaned, running a hand through his hair. "Twelve hours just to scan, and another ten to filter? That's almost a whole day!"
Hermione, ever the rational one, pursed her lips. "But it makes sense. The system has to cross-reference millions of DNA sequences with our Thaumic Conduit Genes to ensure compatibility. We don't want to accidentally mutate into something that disrupts our magic."
Harry crossed his arms. "Still, can't we speed this up? I don't feel like waiting around for twenty-two hours while this thing plays matchmaker with our genes."
Nova shrugged," Well we can't do anything..... Wait we can, just tell me what specific ability do you want. It will help us shorten the list.
Hermione tapped her chin thoughtfully. "Hmm thats a good idea, this way Omnitrix and System won't have to go through all the available aliens."
After thinking for a while, she continued," Alright, if we're choosing directly… I want something that boosts my intelligence. This one is primary, other can be optional."
Harry smirked. "Of course, you'd want more intelligence."
Hermione shot him a look. "Well, excuse me for wanting to boost my abilities."
Nova chuckled. "No, she's got a point. Having enhanced intelligence is a game-changer—especially for magic users. It means faster spell analysis, better memory, and even better problem-solving in combat. Hermione's thinking long-term."
Hermione smiled smugly, while Harry rolled his eyes. "Alright, alright. I see the value in it. But I still want something more… combat-oriented. I mean, I already have raw magical power, but control is something I do need to improve. Still, I want an ability that gives me an edge, something cool."
Nova leaned forward. "Define 'cool.' Are we talking about raw physical power? Something elemental? Maybe enhanced reaction speed or an ability that lets you mess with your environment?"
Harry thought for a moment. "Something that makes me faster in a fight. Maybe better reflexes, so I can react instantly. But I also want a unique ability—something that could surprise an opponent."
Nova nodded. "Got it. So, for Hermione, we're looking at intelligence, magic reserves, and control. For Harry, we're focusing on enhanced control, improved reflexes, and a unique combat ability. System, match their requests with the best alien DNA available."
[DING! MATCHING REQUESTED ABILITIES WITH COMPATIBLE ALIEN DNA… ESTIMATED TIME: 10 MINUTES.]
Hermione blinked. "That's… significantly faster than before."
Nova smirked. "Told you my method was better."
Harry grinned. "Yeah, yeah. Now let's see what kind of crazy alien powers we're about to get."
After a while, Nova smirked and drawled, "So, Harry, have you sent an owl to your soon-to-be future wives yet? If not, I'd be happy to assist—with a little extra attachment of you kissing Cho and Ginny..."
Harry nearly choked on air, his face turning a brilliant shade of red. "WHAT THE HELL, NOVA?! Where the fuck did you even get those pictures?! Delete them! *Now!*" He lunged forward, failing as they are talking on hologram video call.
Nova, ever the menace, simply sat smirking. "Oh, come on, Harry, don't be so dramatic. They're *great* pictures—real sentimental value, you know? Think of them as memories."
"Memories my ass! DELETE THEM!" Harry all but begged, running a frustrated hand through his hair.
Suddenly, Hermione's voice cut through the chaos like a whip. "The hell do you mean kiss Cho and Ginny?!"
Harry froze mid-rant, turning to Hermione, who was now staring daggers at him, arms crossed in a way that screamed explain yourself.
"Oh, shit—" Harry muttered under his breath before quickly turning back to Nova. "You absolute bastard!" He then whirled back to Hermione, raising his hands defensively. "I didn't kiss anybody! Nova's just screwing with me!"
Hermione's eyes narrowed. "Then what exactly am I looking at?" She pointed at the holographic images floating beside Nova—clear as day, showing Harry locking lips with both Cho and Ginny in two separate pictures.
Harry groaned. "I don't know! They haven't even happened yet! Nova's doing his weird wish-fulfillment thing or whatever!"
Nova grinned. "Guilty as charged. I just thought I'd give Harry a sneak peek into his romantic future."
Hermione huffed, arms still crossed. "And you chose to show him kissing them?"
Nova shrugged. "I aim to entertain."
Hermione huffed. "Unbelievable."
Suddenly Nova smirked as he remembered the scene of destruction of the Slytherin locket.
As soon as Nova's smirk deepened, both Harry and Hermione felt an ominous chill run down their spines.
"I don't like that look," Harry muttered.
"I really don't like that look," Hermione agreed, already bracing herself.
Their fears were confirmed when the holographic display shifted again, this time showing a brief, yet vivid, clip.
It was them.
Harry and Hermione.
Locked in a passionate kiss.
The moment played out in stunning clarity—Hermione's hands in Harry's hair, Harry pulling her closer, the heat of the moment making everything else fade away.
Harry's brain short-circuited.
Hermione let out a strangled noise somewhere between a gasp and a squeak, face burning red.
"WHAT THE HELL, NOVA?!" they both shouted in perfect unison.
Nova, looking far too pleased with himself, simply reclined as if enjoying a personal masterpiece. "Oh, relax, you two. It didn't actually happen. Just a little… creative demonstration, courtesy of my abilities."
Harry, still looking completely scandalized, pointed furiously at the hologram. "WHAT PART OF THAT IS RELAXING?!"
Hermione, having seemingly short-circuited, was now stuck in a loop. "No. No. No. No. Absolutely not."
"Oh, come on, you two," Nova teased, "you have to admit, it's a good look."
"We're like brother and sister!" Hermione practically screeched, looking horrified beyond words.
"EXACTLY!" Harry agreed, finally finding his voice. "That was—Merlin, that was wrong! I need a Pensieve to scrub my brain clean after this."
Hermione nodded rapidly. "Yes, precisely! This is disgusting! Revolting! Nova, delete that immediately!"
Nova simply chuckled. "Aww, you guys are no fun."
"NO FUN?!" Hermione's eye twitched dangerously. "That was traumatizing!"
Harry shuddered. "I'm gonna need therapy."
Nova just smirked wider. "Oh, don't worry, I definitely have more material for that."
Harry and Hermione exchanged a look of pure horror.
"Nova, I swear to Merlin, if you—"
But Nova had already flicked his fingers again, summoning another clip.
Before either Harry or Hermione could stop him, the hologram flickered, and yet another clip appeared.
Both of them braced themselves—surely, surely, it couldn't get worse.
It got worse.
The scene played out once again, another illusion of Nova's making. But this time, instead of a single moment, it was a montage. A carefully curated selection of different angles, slow-motion replays, and even a romantic background score that made it look like something out of a cheesy romance film.
Harry looked seconds away from either passing out or hexing the hologram out of existence. Hermione's hands were clenched into fists so tight they were trembling.
Nova, ever the menace, gestured to the display like a proud director showcasing his masterpiece. "I even added a few cinematic effects—really highlights the emotions, don't you think?"
"EMOTIONS?!" Hermione shrieked. "THE ONLY EMOTION I FEEL IS RAGE!"
Harry, meanwhile, had officially given up on rational thinking. "Merlin's saggy left—Nova, I am this close to committing murder."
Nova just grinned. "You wound me, Harry. I only aim to entertain."
"WHO IS THIS ENTERTAINING?!" Hermione all but screamed, her face an alarming shade of red.
"Me," Nova said with a smirk.
Harry groaned into his hands before whirling on Hermione. "Okay. Let's be completely clear. That?" He pointed at the hologram. "Didn't happen. Will never happen. In no universe, timeline, or weird alternate dimension is that ever happening."
"Agreed!" Hermione said instantly, crossing her arms. "Absolutely never! We are siblings in all but blood!"
"Exactly!" Harry exclaimed. "We've been through too much, we know too much about each other—just no."
Hermione nodded rapidly. "Disgusting."
"Revolting."
"Abominable."
Nova let out a low whistle. "Damn. You two are really selling it."
"We don't have to sell anything because that's the truth!" Harry snapped.
Hermione took a deep breath, still looking like she might explode at any moment. "Nova. Delete it. Now."
Nova's smirk deepened, and Harry and Hermione instinctively tensed, their instincts screaming at them that he wasn't done tormenting them yet.
"Alright, alright, I'll delete it," Nova said, raising his hands in mock surrender. "Buuuut before I do—"
"No."
"Absolutely not."
Both Harry and Hermione shut him down instantly, glaring daggers at him.
Nova opened his mouth, undoubtedly to deliver another round of chaos, but before he could, a sudden chime echoed through the hologram call, saving Hermione and Harry from all merciless Nova.
Harry and Hermione exchanged quick glances before turning their full attention to the source of their salvation.
