Chapter Sixty
As she slowly opened her eyes, the aroma of fried sausage and freshly made tea filled the air, making her stomach growl with hunger.
However, her appetite was quickly replaced by a burst of displeasure. She grumbled angrily, flinging an arm over her face to shut away the morning light that streamed through the window.
She despised being awakened by the smell of food. Why were the window curtains even opened? Since when did her nanny start to do these?
She attempted to sit up, but a pleasant ache rushed through the space between her thighs, making her wince. She was reminded where she was immediately and what was causing the ache. She didn't go home last night.
She gently caressed the sore region while recalling the events of the previous night.
Just then, the door creaked open, and he entered with a tray balanced in his hands. "Breakfast is ready," he declared, his eyes crinkling at the corners and smiling.
