Chapter Sixty- Eight
She swallowed hard, trying to find her voice. "I… I was just curious," she stammered. Was she? How the hell was she even stammering?
He raised an eyebrow, his expression skeptical. "Curious? You were just curious?" he repeated. "You were not curious, you are nosy. Always have been that. And nosy people get punished."
He pulled her closer, his eyes glinting with warning. "And I am just getting started. You were a bad girl. A very naughty girl."
That excited her on a different level. She shivered as his fingers trailed down her spine. Before she could react, he pulled her onto his lap, his grip firm, possessive.
"You think you can snoop around in my room and walk away without consequences?" His voice was low, and a dangerous rasp against her ear.
Her breath hitched. "Ahmet, I was not snooping—"
A sharp smack landed on her backside, making her gasp. Did he just hit her?
She tensed, but his other hand smoothed over her hip, grounding her in the moment.
