Chapter 310 - Chapter 310 Investigation in Progress! Tyler Hayward!

Anton had never been particularly fond of Nick Fury and his constant scheming.

However, he had to admit—no matter how underhanded Fury methods were, his intentions were always good.

Ignoring the process and outcome, and looking only at the intent, Nick Fury could still be considered a noble man.

Unfortunately, Anton found his approach distasteful.

"So, this Skrull was killed by his own people…"

Tony mused.

"No. At this point, we probably shouldn't even call them 'his people' anymore," he added.

"If your theory is correct, then they're enemies now."

"Either way," Anton exhaled,

"one thing is clear—there are still Skrulls on Earth. And this particular faction has hostile intentions toward humanity."

He pulled out his phone and made a call.

Anton ordered the Men in Black to retrieve the body, conduct a forensic examination, and determine the exact cause of death.

Just as he hung up, he received a message from Z.

"Monica Rambeau…"

A thought flashed through his mind.

Without another word, he turned and left the apartment.

"Hey! Where are you going?"

Tony called out loudly.

"None of your business."

Anton waved him off.

"If you're not involved in the Skrull situation, then stay out of it."

With that, he stepped onto the sidewalk, intending to hail a taxi.

A few moments later—

VROOOM—

Tony Audi pulled up right in front of Anton.

"I think you need me right now."

Tony casually put on his sunglasses, shrugged, and spoke in his usual cocky tone.

"You showed up at Stark Industries because of the Skrulls.

"How can you still say this has nothing to do with me?"

As he spoke, the passenger door automatically swung open.

"Get in."

Tony smirked.

"You're not getting a cab anytime soon."

"Oh?"

Anton raised an eyebrow.

"And how do you know that?"

"Because I had J.A.R.V.I.S. send a message to every taxi driver in Brooklyn, telling them to head to Stark Industries.

"I paid double the fare."

Tony grinned.

"So right now, every taxi in Brooklyn is probably long gone."

"..."

Anton was speechless.

Anton sighed and got into the car.

"You really know how to burn money."

"Right back at you," Tony smirked as he stepped on the gas.

"By the way, where are we heading?"

"Columbia University."

Anton replied, "To find a woman named Monica Rambeau."

Monica Rambeau.

In the comics, she was the superhero Spectrum, a former Captain Marvel, known by multiple aliases.

She had also appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

In the movies, she was the daughter of Maria Rambeau, the former director of S.W.O.R.D., and a close friend of Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel).

As a young girl, she appeared in the events of Captain Marvel.

As an adult, she reappeared in the MCU Disney+ series, where she had become a S.W.O.R.D. agent and gained superpowers due to the events surrounding Wanda Maximoff.

Monica was poised to play a significant role in future MCU films and shows.

But right now, none of that mattered.

Anton wasn't heading to Columbia University to befriend a future superhero.

He was going there for answers about the Skrulls.

"Monica Rambeau…"

In Tony earpiece, J.A.R.V.I.S. quickly provided a briefing, summarizing what he needed to know.

"Maria Rambeau daughter. Former S.W.O.R.D. agent."

"You think she knows something?"

Tony asked.

"It not what I think," Anton replied.

"She definitely knows something."

"Alright," Tony nodded.

"You're impressing me, Anton."

"I thought you already looked at me differently after our bet," Anton shrugged.

"Not quite that soon," Tony smirked.

"If I had Batman help, plus ten assistant directors, I could have made Batman Begins too."

Columbia University

Before long, the Audi pulled up to Columbia University, where Monica Rambeau had just finished class.

Their arrival did not go unnoticed.

All eyes turned toward them.

Tony Stark.

Anton Jameson.

These two weren't just celebrities—they were icons.

Even Hollywood actors couldn't match their level of fame.

One was a Justice League member.

The other was a former Avenger.

Their presence at Columbia University sent waves of excitement and panic through the students.

Was something about to happen?

Some students immediately thought of a previous incident—the time Anton had attended a Columbia University gala and single-handedly neutralized a group of terrorists.

Speculation ran wild.

Monica Rambeau, meanwhile, immediately spotted the two men heading straight for her.

She was certain—she was their target.

Scanning the crowd around her, Monica let out a slight sigh of resignation before giving a subtle signal.

Anton nodded discreetly in response.

A few moments later, he and Tony returned to the car and drove to a secluded alleyway, where Monica was already waiting for them at the curb.

"Took you long enough."

Monica tone was calm, completely unfazed—as if she had expected this all along.

"You seem awfully sure that we'd come for you."

Anton observed.

"The moment you saw us, you knew we were looking for you, didn't you?"

"Ever since my mother was arrested, I knew this day would come."

Monica replied.

"The Skrulls have turned against us, haven't they?"

"That right."

Anton nodded.

"Maybe I should formally introduce myself.

"Anton Jameson. Justice League member. Also, the head of the Men in Black."

"Men in Black?"

Monica raised an eyebrow.

"A specialized extraterrestrial affairs task force, established by the U.N. Security Council after the Battle of New York."

Anton explained.

"Right now, I have full authority over the Skrull investigation."

"Oh?"

Monica glanced at Tony, who was driving.

"And what about him?"

"He just here to fill the seats. Completely irrelevant."

Anton replied, ignoring Tony glare of protest.

"You already know what I want to ask. So, let not waste time.

"Monica Rambeau, tell me everything you know."

Monica hesitated only for a second, then spoke.

"Tyler Hayward."

"That all I can give you."

"Tyler Hayward…"

Anton murmured.

"A former S.W.O.R.D. officer. Maria Rambeau second-in-command."

Anton had read up on S.W.O.R.D. files and, with his past-life knowledge, was somewhat familiar with the name.

After Maria Rambeau death, the one who took over S.W.O.R.D. was none other than Tyler Hayward.

In the Disney+ series WandaVision, the man who insisted on dismantling Vision body was none other than Tyler Hayward.

Before Anton reincarnation, fans online had already speculated that Hayward might be a Skrull.

And now—hearing his name directly from Monica Rambeau—the theory was all but confirmed.

Even if Tyler Hayward wasn't a Skrull himself, he was definitely connected to them.

A traitor to humanity.
