Chapter 318 - Chapter 318 New Member of Men in Black

After the conversation at the White House concluded, Anton and others boarded the plane they arrived in and left Washington.

After their departure, the President and the Secretary of Defense, John Kler, immediately started discussing the follow-up situation regarding the Skrulls.

This incident exposed the hidden dangers lurking on Earth.

They had no doubts about Anton intelligence.

The facts were right before their eyes no matter how much they wanted to deny them, it was impossible.

So, they had to face it bravely.

Of course, the Skrulls were a problem for the whole Earth.

Without hesitation, they planned to convene a meeting of the World Security Council to fully disclose the situation reported by Anton, urging leaders of various countries to handle it cautiously.

At such times, they absolutely could not allow the shape-shifting Skrulls to exploit any loopholes.

Elsewhere.

On the return flight, Tony was also asking about the details concerning the Skrulls.

Though he had gathered some information from Anton "lengthy discussion" earlier, there were still some details that needed to be connected by Anton.

A moment later, Tony finally understood the whole story.

He did not change his opinion about Nick Fury.

He had long known Nick Fury to be a daring person, so he was not at all surprised instead, he took it for granted.

"How do you plan to deal with me?"

Monica suddenly spoke up.

"You?"

Anton pondered for a moment: "It definitely not possible to let you move freely you are somewhat involved in this very important matter, which must be kept strictly confidential... So, do you have any interest in joining the Men in Black?"

"What?"

Monica was startled and looked at Anton in surprise, not expecting such an invitation.

Join the Men in Black!

"Aren't you afraid that I might be a Skrull spy?"

Monica couldn't help asking.

"Are you?"

Anton countered, then smiled: "I am quite certain of the identities of Nick Fury and Maria Rambeau, both are genuine humans.

As for you, being Carol Danvers junior, the Skrulls wouldn't rashly harm you or disguise themselves as you to deceive others.

Additionally, Nick Fury and Maria Rambeau have definitely taken precautions."

"So, there are many people in this world who are worth suspecting, but conversely, there are also many who need not be doubted at all."

"I agree with you."

Monica nodded without hesitation, "Also, I'm pleased to join the Men in Black."

"Don't get too excited yet... When we arrive in New York, I'll have someone take you to the Men in Black headquarters for training.

At that point, you'll be assigned to a department based on your abilities, and I won't interfere. Everything depends on your own capabilities."

Anton spoke calmly, throwing a dose of reality: "Monica, you have to understand, your mother Maria Rambeau is in a precarious position.

Even if it proven that she has nothing to do with the Skrulls, no one will trust her, and she won't be allowed to go free."

"I will work hard for it."

Monica had already accepted such an outcome and fell silent after speaking.

The plane returned to New York, to Stark Industries.

Men in Black members escorted Monica back to headquarters, while Tony turned to Anton.

"So, where are we heading now?"

"The sewer laboratory."

Anton said, "Come on, I'll take you for a tour. It the research base of the Justice League."

Soon.

The two entered the sewers.

Tony first frowned at the sewer environment, then arrived at a space that surprised him.

Despite being in the sewer, there was a fragrant aroma.

"Those are flowers planted by Master Splinter, they purify the air."

Seeing Tony gaze, Anton smiled: "You know who Splinter is, right?"

"A... giant rat."

"Not exactly giant, more the size of a seven or eight-year-old child."

"Compared to a normal rat, that dozens of times larger."

Tony eyes fixed on Splinter, who was arranging flowers, and his mouth twitched as he felt the need to reorganize information about the many members inside the Justice League.

It appears that inside the Justice League, there are bats, turtles, rats, lizards, spiders...

Apart from Batman, the founder of the Justice League, according to the works released by DC Company where Anton works, these animals are new members, not old ones like Wonder Woman, Cyborg, or Green Arrow.

New members, superheroes with animal codenames, are highly represented.

Could it be that Batman, having an animal codename himself, has a special fondness for superheroes with animal codenames?

Tony was musing distractedly when he suddenly saw a few familiar faces.

Not especially close.

But comparatively, they were familiar.

Curtis Connors, Bruce Banner, and Reed Richards, who had long been reputed to have intelligence not inferior to his own.

"These three will be your colleagues for the coming period. I hope you can interact amicably."

Anton shrugged and shouted a slogan: "All for humanity."

After that, he took his leave.

"You're leaving just like that?"

Tony was confused.

"Of course, otherwise, do you think I'd be of any help if I stayed here?"

Anton looked back at Tony strangely, bluntly saying: "I've got plenty to do Superman is waiting for me to contact him in the universe."

"Superman…"

Tony thought about this man, Superman, who was highly regarded by Anton and perhaps the entire Justice League, and he felt a bit skeptical.

He had seen "Man of Steel," and not just seen it—he attended the premiere and was among the first worldwide audience to learn about Superman.

As for this man hailed as "the god amongst men"...

Tony struggled to understand.

From Anton behavior, it seemed that his expectations for Superman surpassed those for Batman.

And from the Easter eggs in some movies, the relationship between Superman and Batman appeared to be less than friendly.

Could it be...

Was Superman not voluntarily away from Earth, but rather forced out by Batman?

Tony mind raced with wild speculations.

Meanwhile, Anton had no intention of continuing idle chatter with Tony.

Since he planned to bring Superman back to quickly resolve the crisis, there was no time to waste.

Getting Superman to appear soon became his only goal.

For this reason, the filming plans for "Shazam" had to be postponed.

"Where are you planning to go?"

Tony, unable to contain his curiosity, asked as Anton walked away without looking back.

"Los Angeles."

Anton waved his hand dismissively: "Stop talking and get to work. Your tasks are critical for the future of Earth and humanity."

With those words, Anton disappeared from the sewer laboratory.

Within half an hour, Anton was on a plane to Los Angeles, Hollywood.

Next, he would push forward the production of "Batman v Superman" with the aim to shorten the timeline to less than the month previously projected by Jim.

He planned to arrange for the distribution company to release the movie immediately, hoping to capitalize quickly and gather the resources necessary to bring Superman into play.
