The Aether first appeared in the plot of "Thor 2."
Originally, due to the destruction of the "Rainbow Bridge" that connected the "Nine Realms," chaos erupted, and Thor was busy quelling rebellions, unable to return to his girlfriend, Jane Foster, in time.
While studying astrophysics, Jane accidentally discovered and assimilated the Aether.
This led to a series of events involving Thor and the Dark Elves.
However, for the current Jane Foster, her research in astrophysics does not seem to have delved as deeply as Anton had hoped.
Of course, Anton has other methods to push this matter forward.
The methods of a wealthy man.
He pulled out his phone and called his father.
"John, do me a favor."
Anton was straightforward: "Jane Foster, she an astrophysicist, and I want to invest in her."
"What?"
John Jameson was stunned: "Jane Foster, wait, I've never heard of... Oh, I just looked her up, she quite attractive.
Anton, be honest, are you really interested in investing, or are you trying to pursue her?"
"I value her research, just finance it, acquire her research institute under the name of Wayne Enterprises, and leave the rest alone."
Anton didn't bother to explain further.
"Alright, as you wish."
Although Anton was his son, Anton current status was different, and in many ways, he was the most authoritative person in the Jameson family—even the old man had to listen to Anton, let alone John.
After confirming the details about Jane Foster, he hung up the phone.
That evening.
Jane Foster astrophysics research institute received an investment of tens of millions of dollars from Wayne Enterprises.
Following this, Anton appeared before Jane Foster and others.
"Hello."
Anton looked around, his gaze sweeping over several unfamiliar faces, eventually settling on Jane Foster and others whom he had met briefly before.
"I think we've met."
He paused, then added, "I suppose I don't need to introduce myself."
Jane Foster and the others were bewildered upon seeing Anton.
Anton, of course, needed no introduction.
In today world, there were very few who didn't recognize his face.
Anton fame now rivaled that of Hollywood biggest superstars.
Especially after the recent Skrull invasion, where an article in the Daily Bugle revealed some classified information about the event, elevating Anton and other behind-the-scenes figures to stardom.
Moreover, among those present was someone who knew all too well about Anton capabilities.
That person was Erik Selvig, who had left SHIELD Project Pegasus shortly after the Battle of New York and had been thoroughly investigated by a secretive government department.
He knew about Anton close connection with Batman.
In a moment, his mind raced with many thoughts, even considering that Anton appearance might be related to Batman.
Of course, everyone present was astonished.
They couldn't understand why someone as significant as Anton would appear before them.
"I'm here because your research is outstanding," Anton stated.
"I appreciate your work in astrophysics, and you should have heard about the Nine Realms from the Asgardians."
"Yes," Erik nodded.
"We are aware."
"That simplifies matters," Anton continued.
"From what I understand, a unique astronomical event might happen soon, or in the near future—the Asgardians call it 'Convergence of the Nine Realms.' During this period, things that shouldn't happen might occur, so your research could help us prepare."
"Convergence of the Nine Realms?" Erik repeated.
"Yes, the specific theories about the Convergence need your investigation," Anton declared decisively, exhibiting the authority of a superior.
"So, this will be your future research direction."
There were hesitant expressions among the group.
"Now you are funded by Wayne Enterprises, so it best you listen to me," Anton added firmly.
"This is also what Batman wants."
At the mention of Batman, any reservations quickly dissolved.
Batman stature in people hearts could now be likened to that of a messianic figure.
The Daily Bugle article not only revisited Superman formidable strength but also highlighted the efforts made by Batman behind the scenes.
This only elevated Batman already exalted image in the public eye.
"Understood," Erik and the others agreed, deciding to follow Anton guidance to explore the Convergence of the Nine Realms.
"We'll make sure Batman is satisfied," they affirmed.
Their motivation was for Batman, not necessarily for Anton.
Anton was indifferent to their personal motivations he was only interested in the results.
After the meeting, Anton returned to his office and received a call from the headquarters of the Men in Black.
Z, the second in command at the Men in Black, updated him on their work.
Thanks to the relentless efforts of the Justice League experimental team, the technology to crack the Skrull shapeshifting abilities had reached its final stages and the device had been completed.
With a joint effort between the Men in Black and various national governments, numerous Skrulls hiding within the World Security Council were systematically exposed and rooted out.
The hidden threats in the human world were gradually being eliminated.
The World Security Council could only give a thumbs up to the Men in Black, overwhelmed by the revelation of vulnerabilities within its own ranks, unable to articulate much else.
Worth noting was that the device to expose Skrulls was named the "Revealer Pen" by Anton.
It was similar to the "Neuralyzer," a device he remembered from the Men in Black that erased memories using a flash of light.
The "Neuralyzer" looked like a pen used for taking pictures but actually worked by erasing memories with its flash.
The "Revealer Pen" operated in a similar fashion to the "Neuralyzer."
Anton was stunned for a moment as he processed the news from Z. The revelation that a group of thrill-seeking youngsters had genuinely discovered an alien was both surprising and slightly alarming.
"What do you mean they've found an alien?" Anton asked, his tone shifting from confusion to concern.
Z responded, "Exactly as it sounds. These young people organized an outing, supposedly just for fun, to track down aliens using some rudimentary equipment they believed could detect extraterrestrial activity. And it turns out, they were right."
Anton rubbed his temple, trying to make sense of the situation. "Where did this happen, and what kind of alien are we talking about? Have the Men in Black intervened yet?"
Z explained further, "It happened near a small town in Nevada, close to the area known for previous alien sightings and conspiracy theories.
The group managed to capture images and some rudimentary data of a being that definitely does not match any known terrestrial species.
The Men in Black are already on their way to secure the area and verify the findings."
The implications of this discovery were not lost on Anton.
The presence of another alien on Earth, especially one found by civilians, could complicate the already tense situation with the Skrulls.
It also posed a potential security risk if the news spread beyond the immediate group of adventurers and into the broader public.
"We need to manage this carefully," Anton instructed.
"Ensure that the Men in Black handle this discreetly. I don't want any panic or unwanted attention.
Keep it quiet, and make sure those kids understand the importance of secrecy. Offer them whatever is necessary to keep them silent."
Z agreed, noting the need for caution.
"We'll handle it with the utmost discretion. I'll oversee the operation myself to ensure that everything is contained."
Anton ended the call with a deep sense of unease.
The Skrulls were one thing, but the possibility of other alien entities freely roaming Earth was another complexity he hadn't anticipated.
It made him reconsider the overall strategy of dealing with extraterrestrial threats.
More than ever, the Revealer Pen and other technologies developed by the Justice League experimental team seemed crucial not only for Earth defense but also for maintaining the delicate balance of secrecy and public awareness.
As Anton returned to his other tasks, he couldn't shake the thought of what else might be out there, yet undiscovered.
The world was changing rapidly, and keeping up with these changes was becoming an increasingly demanding job.
