Sebastian flipped the last page before he could hear beeping sounds coming from the machine beside him.
He glanced up and saw Blair slowly opening her eyes, and she was squinting against the light.
Sebastian set down the magazine and scooted the chair closer to the bed. He made sure his voice was soft so he wouldn't scare her.
"Hey. How are you feeling?"
Blair finally opened her eyes, and she looked at him, and she asked quietly, although he heard her.
"W—Water."
Her voice was scratchy, barely held together. Sebastian nods and says, "Wait here. I'll get some water."
Sebastian walked out of the room and saw some water machine with cups on the table next to it.
He filled the cup with water, and a straw was in it. He walked back into the room and gave it to Blair, whose hand was trembling.
Sebastian sighed.
He helped her hold the cup as she drank from the straw.
He threw the cup away into the trashcan after it was all gone, and Blair finally spoke again.
