Sophia's eyes flashed, and she said smoothly, "I've been messing up my curfew recently. My dad said he wouldn't tolerate that from me again, so I can't be late today! You know how dead strict he is. You don't wanna see me on the street, do you?"
Understanding the situation, Amy subconsciously nodded, and Sophia heaved a sigh of relief, briskly turning around.
But before she could fully feel relieved, Amy immediately grabbed her hand again.
"What?" Sophia almost couldn't conceal her annoyance. What the fuck is wrong with this bitch?
Just let her go, will you?
Meanwhile, Amy said in a soft, pleading tone, "But I need you here with me, Sophia. Can't you stay until my mommy arrives? You're so smart, you'd be able to get me out of this. I need you so much right now, Sophia, please..."
Seeing Sophia's cold expression, Amy added, her voice almost a whisper, "Please... I wouldn't implicate you."
To say she was scared wasn't a lie. She felt lonely and cold, with no idea what to do.
