Chapter 83 - Lycan Den Part 1

**********************

Lycans Den

The Lycans and Murciélagos crashed, The Murciélago's speed was a blur, its razor-sharp claws tearing through the throat of a Lycan with a sickening rip.

The Lycan crumpled to the ground, its lifeblood staining the stone floor.

But in a flash of savage aggression, two Lycans seized their opportunity, flanking the Murciélago. They pinned its arms, their powerful jaws gnashing inches from its head. As the Murciélago struggled, a third Lycan slammed into it, its claws aimed at its stomach. The Murciélago, about to unleash a deafening shriek, was choked back.

The Lycan in front of the Murciélago held its throat stopping the Murciélago from shrieking as he was about to use his claws to open its stomach another Murciélago dropped from the ceiling. but just before it could slam into the Lycans, a fourth Lycan, scaling the wall with unnatural agility, launched himself onto the falling Murciélago.

The two tumbled across the floor, as they used their claws and teeth, while three more Lycans joined the fray, scaling the walls.

The Lycan holding the throat of the first Murciélago released a growl looking at the Murciélago in front of him.

"Grr." A sneer appeared on its snout like saying that no one can help him now.

The Murciélago struggled, before its wings spread open before the leather part receded as it stabbed into the side of the Lycans holding its arms. The Lycans momentarily let go of the Murciélago's arms from pain as the Lycan In front of the Murciélago eyes widened as the Murciélago claws stab into its eyes the Lycan wanted ripped the Murciélagos throat but the Murciélago was faster as it used it strength to separate the Lycans skull from the middle.

"KeAeEaaH!" The Murciélago let out a shriek that reverberated through the chamber, a sound filled with raw agony and fury. It pulled back its wings from the Lycan's side, then thrust them into the Lycans head.

As it pulled out its wings from the dead Lycans bodies it released a shriek, that momentarily stopped all the Lycans. As the two Murciélagos took this opportunity to kill them one by one. As the Lycans numbers began to dwindle, the battle began to tip to the Murciélagos side.

Lucian in the dark observed the Murciélagos ripped the Lycans easily with their claws and their pure strength and speed, Lucian didn't stop them, or he didn't help, he wasn't here to play a hero, he was here to kill the Murciélagos.

Finding the right timing, Lucian fired his shot from the shadows surprising everyone as a bullet hit the Murciélago on the head stopping it for a moment, the purple UV liquid starts dripping from the Murciélago as it looks towards Lucian direction.

The Murciélago charges towards Lucian who just stands still, the Murciélago with its fast speed already in front of Lucian as it raises its right claws aiming on Lucian throat.

Lucian just raised his right hand holding a handle towards the Murciélago head while he raised his left hand and used his psychic powers to slow down the Murciélagos claws before catching it. Then with a twist of his wrist, the energy blade pierced the Murciélago's skull, the energy blade slash through bone and flesh with ease.

The Murciélago shrieked, a guttural cry of pain and surprise, as its head tilted back, its eyes widening in disbelief.

Lucian, without breaking his gaze, delivered a powerful kick to the Murciélago's stomach, a force that sent it staggering backwards, its head splitting apart, half of its skull falling away with a sickening thud.

Lucien then looked at the remaining Lycans who were looking at him in shock seeing how he easily killed the Murciélago.

Lucien then focused his attention towards the last Murciélago turning the energy blade off throwing it towards the Murciélago.

Murciélago didn't think the tiny thing flying above him was a threat but it was irritated seeing it's brethren getting killed as it crouched and was about to release a shriek when it felt it's throat being choke as the handle flying in the air stop before going straight towards the Murciélago before the energy blade turned on, slicing through its throat killing it in surprise.

"Pity although strong but a beast is just a beast,' Lucian sighed looking at the dead Murciélago with disappointment before turning towards his side, as he looked at Cortana who was sharing his psychic abilities.

"Ahem, how is it.. are you calm?" Lucian asked tentatively, he knew how pissed Cortana was looking at her expression.

"No, there's one more need to kill," Cortana said looking towards the room with narrowed eyes, Cortana had a soft spot for kids with her and Lucian's experience in the Ozunu Orphanage when she saw innocent kids dying on the streets, Cortana just felt she need to kill Marcus herself.

Lucian shook his head although he didn't have a reason like Cortana, Lucian just wanted to kill Marcus as well, as he got the feeling Marcus will become troublesome in the future creating bat-like creatures like he had killed.

Lucian then opened his left hand as the handle flew back towards his hand.

Lucian was about to walk when something destroyed the wall of the room where Marcus was in as dust filled the air. Lucian knew Marcus was coming.

Marcus walked towards Michael, who stood frozen, strapped to a steel wall. He gripped Michael's jaw, a cold, predatory gleam in his eyes. He moved Michael's head from side to side, his gaze piercing, assessing.

"My brother's descendant," Marcus rasped, had a low, rumbling sound that echoed in the room.

Weak and half-asleep, Michael couldn't help but stir awake, his eyelids fluttering open to meet Marcus's intense gaze.

"I haven't seen you before," Michael managed, a shaky breath escaping his lips.

"Can you at least let me eat before you...drain my blood?" Michael said, while a bitter smile appeared on his lips. With what he had been through, Michael knew how valuable his blood was, and what the Lycans intended to do he figured out that there's no chance they would let him go.

"Don't compare me to those beasts," Marcus sneered, his grip tightening on Michael's jaw before releasing Michael's jaw from his grasp while he walked to the side.

"I don't need your blood. I've already accomplished what they're trying to do," Marcus added with pride, walking towards the table. His claws scraped against the surface, leaving a trail of scratches.

Michael's eyes widened in disbelief as he looked at Marcus. "You're not one of them?" he choked out, hope flickering in his gaze.

"Then can you let me go?" Michael pleaded, his voice raw with desperation. The room, the straps, the constant threat of his blood being drained, Michael wanted to escape.

"Oh, and why would I do that?" Marcus chuckled, his eyes gleaming with amusement as he circled around Michael.

Before stopping in front of Michael as Marcus looked at Michael in the eyes.

"What good would that do for me?" Marcus said now without emotion.

"From my point of view, I should kill you so the Lycans couldn't make more hybrids," Marcus said, his voice cold and calculating.

He paused, his gaze locked on Michael, who felt a wave of icy dread wash over him.

"I can join you! The Lycans are your enemies too!" Michael blurted out, his voice frantic. He had to find a way out, a way to survive. He didn't want to die here, strapped like an animal. He had to convince Marcus to let him go.

"A pity," Marcus said, stepping closer.

"But your meager human strength is useless to me," he added with a low and menacing tone. 'I still need to find where Lucian has gone,' He'd only discovered from the Lycan's memories that Lucian left, taking most of the pack with him.

"And the Lycans," Marcus continued with disdain, "They don't deserve to be my enemy when they couldn't even beat my creation." Marcus then pushed Michael's head to the side, with his hand as a cruel smirk twisting his lips.

It was clear that Marcus viewed the Lycans as nothing more than insects, and not even worthy of his concern, he wasn't even supposed to be here if it wasn't for Lucian's necklace.

"Wait no—" Michael tried to struggle, but he was already exhausted and facing the formidable Marcus, the Hybrid elder vampire.

Marcus didn't care about Michael's opinion. He sank his fangs onto Michael's neck, drinking his blood.

The world went dark as a wave of agonizing pain flooded Michael's senses.

Marcus closed his eyes as he drank deeply, and with each sip, a torrent of memories flooded his mind.

He saw Kraven and his men entering the room, he saw Singe, a psychopathic Lycan draining Michael's blood, and then he saw Lucian. The image of Lucian, his face etched with grim determination, clutching the necklace - a key to his brother's cage - seared itself into Marcus's mind.

Finally, he saw what he was looking for: Lucian leading his men toward the train station, their objective, to attack Amelia and intending to create a successful hybrid.

Finding out what he's after, Marcus's eyes snapped open with blue iris glowing, but he didn't let go of Michael's neck. He planned to kill and drain Michael once and for all before going to hunt Lucian.

But then suddenly Marcus pulled away, his eyes still burning with a primal hunger, but something was different.

His eyes flickered becoming full black, a wave of rage washing over him. He seized the steel table and hurled it against the wall with immense force, shattering it.

Dust erupted, filling the air, but Marcus didn't care.

His mind is filled with anger, speeding out of the room vanishing from Michael's sight.

"You!" Marcus roared, the sound echoing in the cavernous chamber. His human form began to writhe, muscles rippling and contorting beneath his skin. Bone cracked, and skin stretched, as his body reshaped. His teeth elongated into fangs, and his jaw stretched, revealing a cruel, predatory grin. Where there had been hands, sharp, clawed appendages emerged, and in a flash, dark, leathery wings erupted from his back.

Marcus's gaze locked onto the masked figure, his black eyes, a venomous surface reflecting the dim light.

He then swept his gaze downwards, landing on the lifeless form of the Murciélago at the masked man's feet. Its head lay severed, a pool of blood staining the stone floor.

"You'll pay for this!" Marcus roared, his voice a guttural growl that echoed off the den's walls.

"Now I'm fully recovered and stronger. Do you still think you can win the same as before?!"

The masked man stood unmoved, his form a stoic silhouette against the darkness.

He didn't speak. With a flick of his wrist, the handle he held sparked with energy, and a luminescent blade materialized, humming with power, as he walked towards Marcus slowly.

Marcus felt a surge of rage at this nonchalance, this blatant disregard for his power. He was being belittled, dismissed.

The wings on his back spread open and with a snarl, he released a roar that shook the very foundations of the den, a primal cry that seemed to tear the air apart.

"RAAAAOOOWRRR!!"
