Hungary, Division Base
"And why would we believe, what you say?!" Abraham said smashing his right fist down on the table, glaring at Amelia. "For all we know, you're just saying that, but you are supporting behind our back!" Abraham said pointing at Amelia straight in the face.
Amelia frowned, though she knew Abraham's hatred for their kind stemmed from the Master's actions, but she wouldn't just simply tolerate his accusations.
"Oh believe me, we are not foolish enough to break the rules, otherwise I wouldn't be sitting here," Amelia said with narrowed eyes as she looked at them one by one on the face, as a sneer appeared on lips as she paused towards the human representatives in the room.
"But you guys, probably didn't as one of you humans, are targeting us vampires and not caring about the rules, and now the oldest coven is all dead, even Viktor was dead," Amelia said as she focused towards the humans, although she and Lena knew that the one that attacked the coven was probably not human from Lena's vision but the people in here didn't know that, and it will take off the heat on their vampire lineage, and shift the focus to the humans.
"That's why Marcus is like this! Because you guys broke the fucking rules first!" Amelia exclaimed, slamming both palms on the table, rising to her feet.
Hearing Amelia's words the supernatural creatures in the room frowned as they began to whisper to each other, their faces twisting with a mix of confusion, suspicion, and anger.
The accusation hung in the air, a stark revelation.
Some awakened humans and hunters those who come alone, raised an eyebrow in interest. The idea of humans targeting vampires, a seemingly impossible scenario, was intriguing, a potential crack in the established order.
Yet, the majority of the human representatives, those who were primarily focused on the mundane world, were left bewildered. Confusion etched their features, their faces mirroring their lack of knowledge.
"This is gonna get good," Marie whispered to Scarlett, her gaze glued to Amelia, a flicker of interest in her eyes.
"Why? Isn't it bad if someone broke the rules?" Scarlett asked, her brow furrowed yet she continued to observe the people around them trying to remember all the information of the Joe's got on them, while she tried to learn from Marie.
"This woman is just making a fuss, she isn't even angry look at the table its still fine," Marie said pointing at table, on the side where Amelia hitted in with her palm, "there's not even a dent, if she was really angry that table will be broken into pieces by now," Marie added in a whisper, as she teaches Scarlett on the simple things that can be notice if someone was very well accustomed in the supernatural world.
"Is what you're even saying is real? How do we know you are just making this up?" A young major William Lennox said, as although he was a major like Scarlett it was his first time being in this kind of meeting as the representative of the US Army, but unlike Scarlett who's an agent, he was a soldier, primarily focused on protecting human lives.
He wouldn't accept blame being shifted to the human side without solid evidence.
"Looking at your face, you don't even know anything, do you?" Amelia sneered, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "Why would I make it up? Our coven den is in ruins," she added, settling back into her seat, knowing the focus would shift away from her and onto the human representatives.
"Is that true?" Lennox pressed, his voice tight with concern. He turned to the Hungarian military representative beside him, his eyes seeking confirmation, a desperate need for information. The weight of the accusation bore down on him. He needed to find the truth, not only to protect the humans, but also to ensure they weren't unfairly blamed for this escalating conflict.
As the whispers in the supernatural side began to grow louder.
Even Abraham leaned back on his seat observing the human representatives with narrowed eyes, as there are two things he distrust and sceptical about in this world.
The vampires and the government, that's why he even formed is own group of vampire hunters, he knew of the temptations of eternal life worth to those politicians and bureaucrats behind the army.
"Ah shit, looks like she's telling the truth," Marie whispered as she had seen the reactions of the humans, especially since she had focused on observing Henry who was the host of this meeting seeing he didn't say anything. His silence was a testament to the fact that this was not new information to him.
"Trouble," Marie whispered pinching her nose as she knew a huge argument was about to start.
Scarlett, hearing Marie's whispers, cast her a side eye. Scarlett then remained silent, focusing on the unfolding drama, absorbing every piece of information.
One of the supernatural creatures in the room rose to her feet, her voice cutting through the tense silence.
"I think you guys should figure out who it is, after all, it was your species that did it." She removed her hood, her eyes fixed on the humans.
"After all, who knows if we'll even survive if the next target is us?" Jane, the cold one, added, a chill echoing in her words, fanning the anxieties of the supernatural creatures.
"Yeah, she's right! Figure it out! And then give him to us!" Another supernatural creature exclaimed, his voice brimming with bloodlust.
"See, I knew you humans were the first to break the rules!" Another individual rose from his seat, his features morphing into a bear, then fur and fangs appearing as he bared his teeth towards the humans.
A wave of animosity swept through the room. One by one, supernatural creatures stood up, their voices rising in a chorus of accusations, blaming the humans for the escalating conflict.
Lennox and the other human representatives clenched their jaws, unable to respond without concrete evidence.
A few lone hunters and awakened individuals who had joined the meeting frowned, their faces etched with a weary understanding. They knew from experience that humans, too, harbored darkness within their hearts.
"Okay calm down, Elder Amelia hasn't proven what she said is true," a beautiful voice echoed, spreading through the room like a calming spell.
The tension in the room began to dissipate, the chaotic energy subsiding under the influence of the voice.
"Now, now, Syrena, it's a bit rude to use your powers like that," a blond man remarked, though his voice held a hint of amusement as he observed the shifting expressions of the creatures, realizing they had been subtly controlled.
"Oh, come on, Lestat, these guys were ruining the atmosphere of the room," Syrena said with a serene smile, her eyes twinkling with mischief as she turned to the man, who sat back down, glaring at her.
"And you'll forgive me, right?" Syrena added, her voice laced with a playful teasing.
The man, who was glaring at her, quickly averted his gaze, muttering "bitch" under his breath, knowing he couldn't deal with her.
"Although Lady Syrena over here was using her power inappropriately, I think she is right," Chris Argent stated, his gaze fixed on Syrena, a hint of disapproval in his voice.
He was one of the lone hunters who had arrived at the meeting.
"We haven't seen the vampires' den, so let's not get on our high horses," Chris said, standing up, his voice carrying a sense of reason. He wanted a peaceful resolution, but his eyes kept drifting towards Marie, who frowned, sensing his gaze.
"And our focus now isn't about the vampires, it's about stopping the one that attacked the station," Chris added as he sat back down on his seat.
"And our focus now isn't about the vampires, it's about stopping the one that attacked the station," Chris added before settling back into his seat.
Chris Argent's words resonated with many in the room. The tension had reached a fever pitch, and the need to focus on the immediate threat, Marcus, was evident. Even those who were initially skeptical of the vampire's claims found themselves agreeing with Chris's sentiment.
The room buzzed with agreement, a collective understanding that catching Marcus was paramount. Just as the discussion began to shift, a knock echoed at the door, followed by the entrance of several Division agents, who marched directly towards Henry.
"It's confirmed. The vampires' den is destroyed. Some of our sniffs and watchers tried to find clues about the attacker, but all they found was a silver fog," one of the agents whispered to Henry, his voice hushed. Henry's eyes widened in alarm, but he quickly masked his reaction, aware that some in the room could hear their whispers.
"Is that all? Then you can leave," Henry said, his voice laced with a hint of impatience, masking his true concern.
The agent nodded, swiftly exiting the room.
Henry Carver stood up, his gaze sweeping across the room, his expression turning somber. He paused for a moment, his eyes settling on Chris Argent. "Unfortunately, Mr. Argent, I have bad news. The Division agents have confirmed that the vampires' coven in Hungary is destroyed, in complete ruins." His voice was plain, devoid of emotion, as he observed their reactions.
someone from the supernatural creatures groaned in irritation, while a human representatives sighed in dejection and regret.
Just as the whispers began to rise, Henry turned towards Amelia, a knowing glint in his eye. "And, at the same time, Elder Amelia is wrong. The one who destroyed their coven was a supernatural creature, not a human.
"And how do you know it isn't human, or are you just helping them!" A man exclaimed, slapping the armrest of his chair, his voice laced with suspicion. He believed Henry was biased with humanity as awakened humans are still humans they were closer to humans than they can ever be with supernatural creatures.
"We got the information about what happened to the vampires' den long before Elder Amelia even mentioned it," Henry responded, his voice steady, unreadable.
"But we need to confirm it first. I sent sniffs and watchers to the ruins. You all should know what they're capable of," he stated, his gaze sweeping across the room, a subtle reminder of the powerful individuals present.
Some nodded in agreement, while others, their eyes gleaming with greed, recognized the potential of someone with the ability to predict the future.
"Yet all they see is a silver fog," Henry continued. "Although we don't know what that means, I think all seers you know will only be able to see the same thing."
The room erupted in discussion, the implications of Henry's words swirling in the air.
"Interesting, you think there ain't no awakened humans that can block a seer's abilities like that? So you're thinking it's a supernatural creature like us? You got to have more confidence in humans, Carver," Lestat said, a playful chuckle escaping his lips as he leaned back in his chair, relaxing a sign that he just attended the meeting to have somefun.
Henry didn't even bother answering Lestat, focusing on Amelia, "The first thing we need to know is what can you tell us about those bat-like supernatural creatures beside Marcus," yet unlike what he was expecting it wasn't Amelia who answered him first.
"What about the people who sent us the video? Are they not even here? Otherwise, we can trust their information better than the vampires, isn't it?" Eric Renard, a human who occupied a gray area in the supernatural world, aligned with neither humans nor supernatural creatures, questioned.
"Unfortunately, an hour ago, we lost contact with their HQ, but some cleaners are coming to the meeting. So for now, I think we should trust the information that Elder Amelia can give," Henry responded, briefly meeting Eric's gaze before returning his attention to Amelia, who frowned, her eyes narrowed, her fingers tapping a rhythmic beat against the table as she contemplated her response.
Amelia let out a weary sigh, finally ready to reveal the truth. Her gaze swept the room, taking in the expectant faces of the assembly. She paused, a subtle flicker of embarrassment crossing her features, before she spoke.
"I don't know how they became like that, but in our long history, there's only one supernatural creature that can release a shriek like that and is connected to us."
"The Murciélagos," Amelia said, her voice a low murmur, her words hanging heavy in the air.
