The wind howled through the trees as we moved through the forest. The night was silent, even the insects and bugs refused to make a sound as if acknowledging the impending storm.
As we reached the pack's borders, I caught sight of the familiar clearing where had we fought the hunters. But tonight, something worse stood before us, a dangerous species we must conquer.
The enemies were already there, waiting just beyond the clearing as if they knew we were coming. The one thing I was grateful for was the fact that they waited there and didn't come into the pack itself.
As we moved closer, their scent hit my nose, making my blood boil faster.
Vampires.
