Xu Ying glanced up at him, "Otherwise, what? You're afraid I'll steal your job?"
Old Li, feeling prodded where it hurt, immediately turned red in the face, "No, that's not it."
Xu Ying couldn't be bothered to quibble with him and stopped asking upon his denial.
However, the food factory's seasoned ladies were taking an interest in Xu Ying, "Xiao Xu, how old are you this year? Do you have a partner?"
"Yeah, Xiao Xu, you're so pretty. Do you have a partner?"
Xu Ying nodded, under everyone's watchful gaze, "I do."
"Ah, what a shame for such a nice girl; so pretty and can cook well. I was thinking about setting you up with my cousin from my mother's side."
Upon hearing this, Old Li snorted out of his nose, "Hmph, as if your nephew is good enough, please, she's pretty and capable. She wouldn't give your nephew the time of day."
"Hey, now, Old Li, what are you talking about? What's wrong with my nephew?"
And just like that, the two of them started arguing.
