(Drakken's POV)
I looked at Aemon, "Well, you are in luck." I said to him, "Since my son likes the sword, I suppose I could accept it."
He nodded slowly, "Right..." He said, "Thank you...."
I sheathed the blade and placed it down, "However, Riktor. You are too small to wield such weapons." I told my son, "But soon, when you grow up, you will be able to use it. I will train you in the art of the blade. And when you lead my armies, you will use this blade to cleave any man in half."
"Yes!" Riktor said excitedly
"My Lord, what a wonderful gift~" Mya said with a smile, "Valyrian Steel is perfect for our son. He deserves nothing but the best."
"I wholeheartedly agree." Daranne said
I looked at Aemon's boy, "Bring him over." I gestured at him, "I will cleanse him completely."
Aemon grimaced, "Y-Yes."
Maegelle straightened up and walked over to me, holding the boy's hand, "Please.....no tricks." She said with a frown, "I beg of you."
The boy was looking at me with a confused look, a bit of fear in his eyes as well. I liked that, I did not want him to be comfortable like his family was. Well, his Family being comfortable is part of my long-term plan.
I placed my hand on his head, "Hm...."
"What are you...." Aemon started
"Silence." I cut him off
Using my powers, I drained the boy of the illness he had. I remember using my abilities to gather his ailments and bunched it up in a single spot, locking it away and "healing" him. What I did was deactivate whatever disease he had gotten and gave it a timer. That timer was about to finish and the disease was going to spread back all over his body.
His head began to glow with a bright light as I drained his ailments. The boy widened his eyes as he began to groan in pain.
"A-Ahhh...." He said
"Relax...." I said as I kept draining him, "What I locked away happened to be really bad. What I am doing is taking the illness out of his body and transferring into mine....and...."
I let go of his head, he wobbled about but was caught by Maegelle. I then used my powers to attack the illness in my own body, destroying it completely.
I don't "cure" people of their diseases, nor do I heal them. My power is to repair and reconstruct their flesh. When I killed Aemon and his body, I had a mark of immortality on them. I kept repairing their bodies over and over. As for "curing" diseases, I merely take them away and destroy them within my body. My Calamity acts as an immune system, attacking the virus or bacteria that causes the disease and completely obliterates it.
It takes a while depending on how severe it is but eventually, it is completely gone.
I felt the disease was completely destroyed and I was free of its potential ailments; not like I was going to be severely affected.
"It is done." I said as I turned around and walked back to my seat, "You can leave now."
"Thank you, Drakken." Aemon said
I shrugged as I sat back down, pulling Daranne back to my lap, "If you excuse me, I have things to do." I said, "You and your Mother can fly back home. I have no interest in continuing to host you in my home."
"My Lord...." Maegelle said with a frown, "I-"
"Enough, My Sweet Maegelle..." I said as I rubbed Daranne's thighs, "I mean it, I do not wish to see their faces."
I saw as Alysanne stood up, "Very well." She said, "That is all I wanted, so I suppose we can leave. My son had been worried about his boy's health, that is all. Maegelle, it is good to see you. But now, we are no longer welcomed."
"No, Mother. You can stay for a bit longer." Maegelle said, "Lord Drakken, please....do not be like this."
Maegelle walked over to me and grabbed my hand, a frown on her face.
I looked at her, "What, Maegelle?" I said, "Aemon brought me my payment, I accepted it, and I helped his boy. That is all he will get. I do no-"
"Please let them stay longer." She said, "They are my Family...."
I sighed, "What does that have to do with me?" I asked, "You speak about Family, well, I have my own. And last I checked, you are part of it as well. But enough of that, I have-"
"I heard you have another son, Drakken." Alysanne said
I scowled, "Like Mother, like daughter..." I said with an annoyed tone, "Interrupting me when they please. Yes, I have another son, what of it?"
"Would it not be appropriate if The Queen sees the boy?" She said
"What for?" I asked, "You did not care about Riktor when he was born, why should you see Sylas?"
"Is that his name? Quite an interesting choice..." Alysanne said
"Mother, Aenys and I will return home." Aemon said, "Thank you, Drakken."
"One thing, Aemon." I told the prince, "I do not guarantee anything similar like this in the future. Whatever happens to you and your boy in the future, leave it to fate and your gods now."
He nodded, "Right...."
He pulled the boy's hand and they both walked out of the room.
"That is rather cruel...." Maegelle told me
"Who do you think you are speaking to?" I said, "And you, Alysanne, what do you want?"
She raised an eyebrow, "I already told you." She said, "I am interested in seeing your boy."
"I do not see why not." Daranne said
"I do find it peculiar, Queen Alysanne." Mya said, "That you have taken an interest in Lord Drakken's sons after all this time."
I looked at Riktor, he had crawled on the table and was sitting next to the sheathed greatsword, running his hand over it. He had an excited look on his face, his eyes gleaming with light.
Alysanne walked over to Riktor and gently patted his head, my son paying no mind to her.
"Children are an amazing thing to have." She said, "They change us....even heartless monsters like Drakken."
"You are saying I have changed?" I asked
Maegelle stood next to me, still holding my hand, "Mother...."
Alysanne smiled as she looked at me, "Ever since having a son, you have been more calm and reasonable." She said, "Perhaps whatever it is that is in your head, influencing your cruelty and ruthlessness.....it has been staved off by the fact you are a Father."
I glanced at Mya who was leaning on the table, a serious look on her face. I then looked at Daranne, who was leaning her head on my shoulder.
Perhaps the Queen was right, I have changed. I do admit, I have grown softer than usual. The Calamity usually speaks to me, reminding me of what I am. But I ignore it, for some reason.
"Hm." I said, "Me? Changed? I doubt it."
"If that is what you think." Alysanne said, "But the more children you will have, the more you will change."
"No." I said, "I will not. I will still be me. My children will simply be means to an end. They will be the generals of my army when the Great War happens. And when that happens, your Family, your dragons...they will have to make a choice...."
"Join us or be destroyed."
