Lu Huaichen hurried back with a bowl of porridge in his hands. As soon as he entered the elevator, he saw Fu Yan standing inside, talking with a nurse beside him.
"Uncle."
Fu Yan looked up briefly and then looked away, "When did you get here?"
"Sister Zixi is alone and bored in the hospital, so she called me to keep her company," Lu Huaichen explained with a smile. "She just mentioned she was hungry, so I brought her some millet porridge."
Fu Yan let out a chuckle, his fingers swiftly signing a medical chart, "You seem to have quite a bit of free time."
Lu Huaichen felt embarrassed, "I was actually planning to have dinner with Zhizhi tonight, but she said she was going to Beijing, so I came to the hospital instead."
Fu Yan paused, then looked up again, "She's going to Beijing?"
"Uncle, didn't you know? Aren't you two—" Lu Huaichen glanced at the nurse and wisely shut his mouth.
