Chapter 132 - Chapter 91: Prison Break (2)

If one were to come by boat, they would have to make the arduous journey of climbing the enormous flight of stairs that would take at least ten minutes before reaching the entrance. Thankfully, with stabilized Hextech gems, trams were introduced for easier transportation.

"How's your baby?" an Enforcer asks as the trio walks toward the approaching tram.

"She's starting to teeth," one responds, "My wife can't handle it so I'm going to pick up—"

Mid-sentence, as the tram doors open, the Enforcers are flung onto their backs with a torrent of wind, and one of their weapons flies out from their hands. A fast chorus of heavy footsteps approaches, and when they lift their heads, metal bars strike their faces.

Sprinting forward, the others narrow behind him as they rush around the U-bend terrace toward the main doors.

Silent, except for the heavy thudding of boots and occasional clunking of weapons, they round the bend and over a dozen Enforcers stand idly.

Their casual demeanors change to shock as shouts erupt, and Orion sprints toward the ones furthest away.

Zzt. Zzt. Zzt.

Immediately, gunshots ring out from both sides, battle cries and gurgling blood, and the deafening roar of Stillwater Hold's alarm. Orion takes out the two furthest away with two hooks before switching immediately to his defensive magic as a rainstorm of bullets descends upon him.

Each one hurts, but none penetrate, as his skin shimmers a faint, arcanic blue. A bullet magnet, as at least half a dozen turn to light him up.

From the frontlines, several Enforcers and Zaunites are already engaged in melee while Sevika and others rush to close the distance on the ones surrounding Orion. Two fall next to her as gunshots ring out before they collide with the first ones shooting at him, and heads begin to turn.

Orion, after needing a moment to readjust to the pain, rushes toward the nearest Enforcer. The butt of his weapon slams into Orion's shoulder, but does no damage as Orion's fist collides with his mask and shatters the glass before he starts stomping on his naval. Bullets are still raining down on him until finally, he hears the sharp ping of empty magazines.

Switching again, he rotates back to his offensive magic and easily takes out three more with vicious blows that knock them unconscious in one hit. Breathing heavily, and feeling the Void energy beginning to stir, he's forced to take a knee after knocking out the last one.

Glancing back, his eyes widen slightly as he sees the typical Zaun thug behavior with vicious laughing and slouched mannerisms as one thrusts his blade into the body of an Enforcer on the ground.

"Don't kill the unconscious ones," Orion says and wheezes, the Void energy crackling in the background like fireworks. Sevika, eyeing him carefully, turns back. "Knock it off! Don't kill the unconscious ones!"

"We need to keep moving," Sevika states immediately after, her sharp gaze returning to him as Zaunites start rushing past.

The mighty doors of Stillwater Hold, towering eight meters tall, were beginning to close. Eyeing it with gritted teeth, Orion nods and Sevika lifts one of his arms up and around her shoulder as they sprint behind the already clashing lines of Zaunites and Enforcers again.

With a heavy thud, and amidst a field of Enforcers and Zaunites tightly locked in combat with Enforcers unable to shoot without risking ricocheting or friendly fire, Sevika and Orion lock gazes with the towering prison warden still unmoving behind his desk.

Breaking apart, Orion sprints forward as Sevika turns to the nearest Enforcers to clash. It only takes a moment as the gigantic fist of the warden swings forward but misses, and Orion twists his body and slams his fist into the elbow joint.

Crack.

A sharp cry of pain as the elbow bends unnaturally, and the warden twists and contorts in pain before another sharp fist across his chin sends him slumped unconscious over the desk.

Releasing the channel, with sweat coating his body, Orion hears the elevator ping and turns- immediately pulling on a separate river of mana associated with the wind element.

The elevator door starts to slide open, with half a dozen Enforcers ready to storm out, only to be slammed back violently against the metal interior and collapse into a pile of bodies.

Again, this happens as the Zaunites are cleaning up the remaining Enforcers, and again, Orion creates an elevator filled with unconscious bodies.

When the cries of battle finally fade, Orion slouches against the desk, his skin a sickly pale color again. He breathes heavily, trying to steady himself as his full attention turns toward silencing the Void energy.

Janna's trinket is hard at work. He can feel it vibrating and shifting against his chest, so he does his best to take the strain off it now that there's no longer a threat, hoping to avoid it breaking.

"If it wasn't for you, I doubt this would've been a success," Sevika pants, approaching him with blood coating half her figure and her augmented Shimmer arm twitching.

"Yeah," Orion pants, meeting her approving gaze eyeing him up. "I know."
