The moment they clashed again, the entire battlefield quaked.
Two figures—one shrouded in crackling lightning and black fire, the other a twisted embodiment of wind and shadow—blurred through the air, colliding with earth-shattering force.
Both retreated at the same time.
Evan's featureless, blackened face tilted slightly, his tone laced with intrigue.
"You are very strong. I'm surprised."
Even now, his voice remained eerily calm, but there was an edge of genuine curiosity.
"To fight me toe-to-toe in my Null form… That shouldn't be possible."
Max grinned. "I am the strongest genius of the Valora continent so of course I won't lose this easily."
Evan nodded. "You are indeed strong enough for that title."
Then, his expression hardened—though with no visible features, it was only the shift in his presence that betrayed his intentions.
"But I won't go easy on you anymore."
His blackened claws twitched—and then, he moved.
