Kaizer walked out of the hospital room after feeling his energy return, turning towards Rina's own private ward. When he got to the door, he pushed it open gently to see that his sister was silently glancing out of the open window, looking at the residential area of the Esper Academy in silence.
Kaizer stepped inside quietly, letting the door click shut behind him.
The room was bathed in the soft glow of late afternoon sunlight, casting long shadows over the pristine white sheets and the small vase of flowers by the bedside table.
Rina sat on the edge of the hospital bed, her legs tucked up, arms wrapped loosely around them. The wind from the open window stirred her long red hair, making it sway lightly as she stared out, lost in thought.
She didn't acknowledge him immediately.
Kaizer sighed. "You're going to ignore me now?"
Rina exhaled through her nose, shaking her head. "No."
