Blue didn't come to this conclusion through assumption. He'd been noticing the signs for the past few months. Unlike before when he and Winter would banter about everything, now they argued about everything.
Bantering and arguing were two different things. Bantering used to end up in sex. Arguing always ended up in not talking to each other for days.
And Blue didn't like arguing. He hated it. He hated having to not talk to Winter or see Winter at all for an entire day. He hated having to walk around eggshells when he and Winter were in the same room.
And he hated having to see a particular look on Winter's face. One that only surfaced during the past few months. Blue hated when Winter would look at him as though he could be discarded at any time.
Oh fuck… thinking about that expression now. Blue hoped he wouldn't get to see it when he returned home.
"Is everything okay with the mister?" Ken asked Blue, bringing him back to the present by indirectly mentioning Winter.
