All of Adonis's apologies were going through one of Blue's ears and coming out through the other. Blue couldn't find it in himself to understand Adonis's actions.
"... There's that. Do you forgive me?" Blue tuned back into the things that Adonis was telling him.
"No," Blue responded straightforwardly.
Adonis's eyes widened as he said, "Why? But I just apologized—"
"Apologizing doesn't suddenly wipe your mistakes away. You know, right? I choose to hate you. Nothing is going to make me change my mind." Blue said these words, then took a step to leave.
He remembered too late that both sides were blocked, giving Adonis the opportunity to grab onto his arm and pull him close.
It was only for a second but Blue was able to get a whiff of Adonis's pheromones. It was woody and rainy. Blue was disgusted. He found a way to rip his arm from Adonis's grip, then set it for a punch.
