Lyla paled as she took in the boiling anger written over Damon's face. His eyes were red in anger and she could see the muscle in his temple twitching. She knew that she was in big trouble. She needed to think fast but what should she do? She noticed his hands trembling by his side in suppressed anger.
She tightened the robe around her body, suddenly aware that she had scantily dressed. She didn't feel comfortable standing in front of him without covering her body properly. He wasn't him. She knew that he already caught on to what had happened.
But still she mustered a forced smile on her lips, tilting her head to the side making her look so innocent. "Oh Damon"she purred, taking careful steps towards him. "I didn't expect you to visit my chambers today"
Damon didn't respond. He didn't blink. He didn't move either.
