The air suddenly felt colder than when she got here.
Alyssa laid on the neatly made bed,face down as she grumbled into the mattress,her fingers clenched tightly around the blanket before she sat up. The room that they had given her was not to her taste but she was in no position to complain. The room was dimly lit, its only light source coming from the yellow lamps on each side of the bed. Thick curtains covered the window, preventing natural light from entering the room. Alyssa suddenly felt like the room was closing in on her.
She had asked for a room—no demand for a room before she'd say anything about Isla's whereabouts. She felt so disgusted sitting in dirty clothes and hair. She had noticed the look on Marcus' face when she asked, like he was ready to rip her about before he agreed with a smirk while Damon watched her distraughtly.
Now that she was finally alone and her mind wasn't clouded with hurt,she suddenly realized the weight of the decision she was about to make.
