"Honey," Lucas called, making Haisley turn to her husband, and the look on Haisley's face was still one of annoyance.
"Luke and I have to leave soon, just let them come with me. Because Mrs. Gladies works with me," Lucas said, making Haisley round her eyes.
"Okay," Haisley replied, and she shifted her body from in front of Lucas.
Lucas tugged at Haisley's waist as she moved away from his side. He knew his wife would not like his actions. It was just that if they discussed it too long, they would be late for work. Lucas cupped his wife's cheek to look at him, but Haisley didn't turn her head because she was upset with what her husband had said to her. Instead of defending herself from leaving with Gladies and her son, Lucas said something like that.
Lucas smiled, then looked at Gladies, Luke and Gladies' son. "Get in the car first," Lucas said as he pressed the key to let them in.
