Emily Parker, the more Evan Palmer looked at her, the less he liked her.
In Evan's view, Emily was just a scheming woman who climbed up the ladder by using her child.
He had seen plenty of such women.
But Emily was more troublesome than those women.
"It was I who asked Emily and Carlos to come back for dinner."
Mrs. Carter said with a smile.
"I heard you went to the school this afternoon?"
Mrs. Carter had been taking a nap when the butler received a call, saying that the school had asked for Evan.
Evan casually agreed,
"It's nothing serious, I'll take care of my daughter's issues. You don't need to worry about this, just focus on taking care of yourself."
Emily remembered Oliver Ross mentioning that Carlos had a sister, who she had yet to meet, currently in her second year of high school.
Evan clearly didn't want to elaborate. He glanced at Carlos.
"I have something to discuss with you."
Carlos followed Evan into the room.
