On the way to City First Middle School, the mobile phone in the backpack rang again.
At first, Emily thought it was Carlos calling and didn't answer.
The caller was persistent and kept calling.
Emily had no choice but to open her backpack and answer the call.
As soon as she picked up, the caller angrily said,
"Hello, you are that meddlesome woman from yesterday, right?
Give me back my phone and backpack immediately."
The caller's tone was threatening, and Emily found it somewhat amusing.
Her temper was quite fiery, just like her brother's.
"Your backpack and phone are with me, how much are you willing to pay to get them back?"
Upon hearing this, the caller got even angrier.
"This is extortion, I am going to report you to the police and make sure you end up in jail."
"When you report to the police, perhaps you should also mention that you, a minor, were buying contraceptive pills at a small clinic."
