After finishing his shift in the morning, Gao Chuan dragged his exhausted body back home. He had been working non-stop for two days and thought Jiang An had left for work early as she was not at home, so without giving it much thought, he went straight to their bedroom to sleep.

After coming to his senses, Gao Chuan walked into the study and began dealing with the laboratory situation, busy until the evening. Jiang An had not returned home yet. He glanced at the time and realized it was Thursday, guessing she might be on duty at the hospital. Thinking they hadn't seen each other since the morning two days ago, he couldn't help but feel concerned.
