Kō Yagami quickly realized that the chat was scrolling at a speed too fast for the human eye to follow. It took her a moment to process the situation, but when she did, she panicked—her sudden rush toward the screen had resulted in her being caught on camera.
"Eh?!!!"
She immediately slapped her hand over the webcam and scrambled out of view.
Ichin burst into laughter at her reaction. "Hahaha! Kō, you're way too shy!"
"Urusai! It's not my fault! I'm just not used to this kind of thing, okay?!"
With her face flushed red, Kō grabbed Rin's arm and dragged her away. "Come on, Rin, let's go watch from the side!"
Rin shot Ichin a helpless look before obediently following Kō to a corner, where they started whispering and clinging to each other.
With Kō gone, Ichin turned back to the camera. "Looks like someone's already translating for me, so I don't need to explain. Everyone, our studio's lead artist is too shy to be on camera and has dragged another artist away to… well, you know, go have their own fun. Let's see if anyone else is willing to show up instead."
Then, he turned his gaze toward Aoba.
"Aoba, want to join? You've done voice acting before, so the viewers are already pretty familiar with you."
"Eh? Me?"
Aoba pointed at herself, her cheeks instantly turning red. "I… I think I'll pass?"
Before she could refuse properly, Shinoda suddenly wrapped an arm around Aoba's shoulders and grinned. "Aoba, don't be so shy! Come on, come on, I'm actually pretty interested in streaming too. Let's just try it together! If you're nervous, you don't even have to talk."
And just like that, the small and delicate Aoba was effortlessly dragged over by Shinoda—who, thanks to her habit of biking to work every day, was in excellent shape.
Now, Aoba sat to Ichin's left, with Shinoda beside her.
The moment Aoba sat down and faced the webcam, she visibly froze, looking completely overwhelmed.
Shinoda found her reaction amusing and poked Aoba's cheek. "What are you spacing out for? At least introduce yourself!"
"Eh? I-I…"
Aoba blushed, hesitating for a moment before deciding to say a few words to give her boss some face. But just as she opened her mouth, she caught sight of the chat.
Even though she couldn't read Chinese fluently, she could recognize some of the characters—and unfortunately, one phrase stood out loud and clear.
"Grade-schooler?!"
Aoba froze, her expression stiffening. Then, in one swift motion, she shot to her feet, startling both Ichin and Shinoda.
She pointed straight at the camera and shouted, "Don't talk nonsense! What do you mean, grade-schooler? Middle-schooler?! I'm already 19! NINETEEN! Look at my outfit! This isn't a school uniform—it's a proper office uniform!"
Immediately, the chat exploded with a flood of "???" messages, completely drowning out everything else.
Meanwhile, Ichin struggled to hold back his laughter. Finally, he sighed and explained in Chinese, "Yeah, she's really 19. She's not lying—she just looks young."
"Wait, she's actually 19?!"
"This feels illegal."
"Too dangerous. Too arrest-worthy."
"You guys are seriously messed up," Ichin muttered, giving up entirely.
He should've known. The moment Aoba showed up on stream, this was bound to happen. After all, if you didn't know her actual age, anyone would assume she was underage… and possibly even child labor.
Before long, everyone in the chat shifted their focus to Shinoda.
Unlike Aoba, who had a petite and youthful look, Shinoda had an entirely different style—short hair, a tank top, and denim shorts, giving off an unmistakable sporty vibe.
But more importantly…
BIG. BIG. BIG!
"What's blinding my eyes?!"
"This stream is the best decision I've made today."
"Are we sure this is a game studio's livestream?"
Meanwhile, Shinoda began introducing herself. "Hello, everyone! I'm Shinoda, responsible for action design at the studio. Nice to meet you all! Huh? Ichin-kun, what's everyone saying in chat?"
Ichin scratched his cheek awkwardly and coughed before replying, "Uh… they're just complimenting how pretty you are."
"Ehh~? Really? Ahaha, that's kind of embarrassing!" Shinoda beamed, completely convinced.
Outside the frame, Yun Iijima muttered under her breath, "She got tricked by Ichin-kun again… I bet they're all just talking about her figure."
The other girls around her nodded in agreement.
It couldn't be helped—aside from Utaha and Hifumi, Shinoda had the best figure in the entire studio. Even as fellow women, they couldn't help but be a little envious, let alone the overwhelmingly male audience in the chat.
Utaha looked around and asked, "Are you all going over there?"
Hifumi, Umiko, Narumi, Momiji Mochizuki, Yun Iijima, and Eriri all shook their heads in unison. Instead, they wandered off to the programming team's side, booting up their computers to watch the stream together.
However, Hazuki didn't follow them. She turned to Utaha and said, "Let's go. It should be starting soon."
Utaha nodded and finally made her way toward Ichin.
Suddenly, on the camera, a plastic bag containing a cup of milk tea appeared next to Ichin's face.
The cold sensation against his cheek startled him, and he turned to see Utaha holding the drink out for him.
Ichin grinned as he took it. "You got this for me? What flavor?"
"Pudding, half sugar, no ice."
As she spoke, Utaha sat down on the chair to Ichin's right, cradling her own milk tea. Hazuki took the seat next to her.
And just like that, two more girls entered the frame—both completely different in style.
Utaha, with her long, straight black hair, had the elegant aura of a literature-loving girl. Like Shinoda, she also had a stunning figure. On the other hand, Hazuki had silver-gray wavy hair and wore glasses, exuding the charm of an intellectual beauty.
Their appearance caused another wave of chaos in the chat. Any discussion about the upcoming showcase was immediately drowned out.
Seeing viewers asking about the two of them, Ichin took a sip of his milk tea and introduced them.
"Alright, you guys don't have to guess. This here is the studio's 'boss lady'—my girlfriend. She'll also be one of our writers in the future. And this is Hazuki, former director at Eagle Jump. She was involved in directing and planning the Fairies Stories series. Now, she's handling planning and some business operations for our studio. Oh, wait—almost forgot someone."
Looking down, Ichin placed his milk tea aside, bent over, and picked up a small, fluffy cat.
"This here is Mozuku, our studio's real boss. He supervises us from the cat tree every day. As for the other studio members, they're a bit shy, so they didn't want to be on camera. You'll meet them some other time. Alright, alright, the showcase is about to start, let's focus."
Utaha glanced at the screen and, with a playful smile, spoke in somewhat clumsy Chinese.
"Don't think I can't read the chat. I understand some of it—so cut it out with the harem jokes. Our dear Ichin is a hopelessly dense straight-laced guy. He's not cut out for that sort of thing."
Ichin rolled his eyes dramatically but didn't bother arguing. Instead, he turned his full attention to the Microsoft showcase that had just begun.
