With the success of the first volley shot, four more followed suit, and all that remained in the end was a giant mess of green blood, corpses, shattered stone, shattered ice…and silence.
For a little bit, things had been touch and go for Aoni, as after the third round of Volley Shots, a group of "smarter" insects had tried hunting the source, causing him to stay on the move until eventually he dropped back down to the slide and went back to ice surfing.
From below, it was significantly easier to pick targets; as such, although he was zipping around and consistently trying to avoid using as much Energia as possible, he ended up completing several laps around the cavern, fixing any gaps caused by destruction in the ice bridge, and of course, hacking his way through any insect that got close enough to attack him.
