The after math of the battle was depressing. The knights that survived began collecting their dead, and counting the number of rebels that had infiltrated the Palace. Almost all the rebels were dead, save for a few that managed to escape. The casualties among the people of the Palace was low, but still there. A couple of maids, eunuchs, and female knights fell martyrs to the cause.
At the Rose Palace, the remaining survivors had gathered there under the order of Tesarius, where Mertyll and the rest of the maids helped calm the Ladies of the Emperor who were clearly shocked to the core. Beside Sera was Tesarius, catching his own breath after having made sure his Empress was well and unharmed. It had been a while since he got there, and in that period of time the Concubines had showed up too, but there was no sight of Edward, who Tesarius was waiting for earnestly.
