Dante who was being suddenly lifted by Lucas felt his opponent's temperature rise suddenly. Not only that he also noticed Lucas's sudden jump in strength. But Lucas wasn't the only one showing changes as Dante who was at his physical threshold suddenly felt his body get hot, he felt a powerful sensation in his whole body, his muscles feeling as if he had gained strength of a beast, bones feeling unbreakable.
In the heat of the moment both the boys had evolved. The soldiers noticing their aura change started to cheer and shout even more than before.
One shouted, "NOW THESE!! THESE ARE THE LIGHT OF HOLY CITY, OUR FUTURE WARRIORS"
While both Dante and Lucas were now more of a beast than humans, their eyes more ferocious than ever. But they both had reached their limits, though they had gained momentary strength it had quickly been exhausted in the brawl, in last ditch effort Dante with all his might grabbed Lucas by his waist and tried to pick him off, Lucas sensing Dante's intentions also decided to do a final move, it was either make or break for both of them.
Lucas forcefully changed his angel going to the right side of Dante, while Dante knew it was a loss for him as his last ditch effort had failed him. Lucas now on the right side of Dante with noe restrictions grabbed Dante's right arm and leg and while being squatted picked him upon his back and slammed Dante on the ground against his back.
The soldiers were ecstatic and shouted at the top of their lungs, while Dante now exhausted lied on the floor panting for air covering his eyes with the back of his hand, lost but still not defeated with a small smile on his face.
Lucas also at his limit panting like a dog nudged Dante and with a strong smile extended his hand towards Dante.
Dante grabbed Lucas's hand and instead of getting up pulled Lucas down at the ground and after Lucas fell, Dante said, "1-1 we are even" with a smile.
Lucas also smiling said to Dante, "You cheating fuck"
Seeing both their condition, a soldier on the spectator side said, "Are you sure they aren't dead"
Hearing the soldier another shouted, "we need a healer over here"
While waving and running towards a direction. But as he was about to run away a hand suddenly plopped on his shoulder, and with a sharp grin another soldier said
"Where are you going Renold?, are you running away?"
Renold, a man with flowey red hair running down through his ear and clean-shaven beard while scratching his chin in a shaky voice said, "W-what? running? M-me?, don't be silly Hans, I-i was just going to get a healer"
Hans a man with long straight black hair slicked back and a goatee with the sharp grin said, "You are the healer"
** Few moments earlier **
Hans: ha! that newbie has got some guts.
Renold: Really? I don't get it man, what's so special about a boy with a little bit of attitude.
Hans: (with one of his eyebrows lifted)
Ohh really?, wanna make a bet?
Renold: No
Hans: ha!! Scardy cat, just say you aren't man enough to stick to your decision.
Renold:(while sighing) you know man I left my gambling days behind, my wife's gonna kill me.
Hans:(in a moking tone) scardy cat, ' I am not man enough to stick to my decision all I do is hide behind my wife'
Renold: (irritated) ok what do you wanna bet?
Hans: (smugly) hehehehe!, salary day is coming up and I was thinking of buying a new armor but my salary is not enough it's double my salary, I wonder how will I get that armor.
Renold: (with veins about pop out of his forehead and clenching his fist ) I will make you eat your words.
Hans: Sure would be glad to eat it.
***Present***
After healing bot Lucas and Dante they both were dismissed and sent to train alone while Hans and Renold went towards the changing room.
Hans with a moking expression and sly grin said, "my words were so tasty too bad I wasn't able to eat it isn't it right Renold?"
Renold with a down and sad tone said, "you damn bastard, my wife's gonna kill me"
Hearing Renold, Hans laughed out loud and said to Renold,"Don't worry I am a true friend I will give you some bronze coins If I get some spare change after I buy the new armor, maan we should do this more often, I need a new sword too" while looking towards Arnold mokingly.
Renold was now clearly irritated but still calmly told Hans, "yea yea easy for you to say, not like you can even find a woman to agree to marry you or anything." While buttoning his sleeve.
Hans snearing told Renold, "yea yea what ever mr.family man, stop trying to flex your wife on me, I will get one some day"
Renold now with a slight arrogant grin put on his uniform coat and while walking out of the door td Hans, "Yeah you will get one,in your dreams and yeah not only my beautiful wife but soon I will be flexing my child to"
Hans in awe while pulling his pants up and buttoning it ran towards Renold and with a smile while laughing shouted, "you damn bastard you are going to to be a father? And I am going to be an uncle?"
After catching up to Renold, Hans slapped Renold's back and said, "this definitely calls for a cold bear man, what do you say?"
Renold while adjusting his glass that almost fell due to the slap said,"Beer at this time of the day? Are you really even a knight?, anyways I am not buying you a beer my wife would kill me"
Hans in a moking tone said to Renold, "hi I'm a scardy cat , all I do is hide behind my wife, I make 50 gold coins per month but still can't buy my friend a beer"
Renold in an angry tone shouted at Hans, "shut up now would you, you make the same amount as me why can't you buy me things sometimes?"
Hans nonshalantly said to Renold, "no need to be so rude dude, just say you are broke"
Renold again in an angry tone said to Hans, "that's not what I meant"
Both of them argued throughout the hallway with each other as both of them walked towards the exit of the training ground.
