Chapter 58- Threatened
Logan's POV
I couldn't stop pacing. My feet moved restlessly across the room, my hands running through my hair as frustration coiled in my gut.
What the fuck have I gotten myself into?
My fists clenched as I exhaled sharply. Why the hell did I ever trust Declan?
But deep down, I already knew the answer.
He had promised me the one thing I had always craved. He had dangled my greatest weakness in front of me, and like a fool, I had taken the bait.
Now, I was stuck.
I barely had time to process everything when the door burst open.
Declan.
The sight of him alone sent a shiver down my spine. I had seen that look on his face before—a smile that wasn't really a smile. It was a warning. A silent threat wrapped in false pleasantries.
"Logan, son," he greeted, stepping into the room as if he owned it. "I trust you have good news for me."
That one sentence made my blood boil. The audacity. The sheer arrogance.
