Greg clenched his fist resting on the table, his demeanor shifting suddenly. He began packing up the food they were eating, catching Cammy off guard. "Let's go. I just remembered I have unfinished work that needs to be sent to the board by tomorrow," he said coldly. "If you're not done, I'll wait for you in the car."
Cammy frowned, baffled by his abrupt change in mood. "We've barely started eating, and now you want to leave? Fine, but you don't have to wait. I'll pack the food and eat it on the way."
She quickly began gathering the food containers, but Greg didn't wait for her to finish. He left the table without another word.
Hurriedly finishing her packing, Cammy ran after him. "Hey, wait! Look, I'm sorry if I overstepped. You brought it up, so I thought it was okay to ask. I won't bring it up again. Please don't be upset. I'm really sorry."
