"I hope you keep your word, Alpha Alonso. Because if you do something stupid, then this issue would be taken up to the council of elders." Alpha Lopez warned him when he turned around to face us both. "Let's go," he told us.
Zander held my hand, and he tried to take me away, but I stopped him. "I want my mother to come with us," I told Zander.
"She is a part of my pack, Aurora."
"You tried to kill her, Elijah. And do you think I would still want her here?" I growled at him when I saw him narrow his eyes at me.
"What are you talking about, Aurora?" Zander asked me when I turned around to face him.
"How do you think I agreed to this engagement, Zander? He poisoned my mother and threatened me with her life. I didn't have a choice." I told him as the tears flowed down my cheeks. I felt Zander's hold on me loosen when he took two large steps and grabbed Alpha Alonso's collar.
